Abstract

A configuration device for configuring a wireless device within a wireless cell can include a receiving unit configured to receive a request message from a wireless device within a wireless cell. In addition, the configuration device can include a first processing unit configured to determine location information of the wireless device, and a second processing unit configured to determine a communication capacity of the wireless device, and to estimate a communication requirement based on the request message. Furthermore, the configuration device can have a transmitting unit configured to transmit optimal information to the wireless device with respect to the request message.

Claims (28)

1. A device for configuring a wireless device within a wireless cell network, said configuration device comprises:

a transmitting unit configured to transmit optimal information to a wireless device with respect to a request message in order to facilitate performance of a communications task requested in the request message through use of the optimal information,

wherein the transmitting unit is configured to transmit the optimal information comprising primary optimal location information and a primary optimal device indicator to perform the communications task; and

wherein a processing unit is configured to determine location information of the wireless device within a wireless cell network, via wireless communication standards comprising at least one of a short range communication standard according to IEEE 802.11, a low cost short-range wireless specification and an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communication standard.

2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the processing unit is configured to determine a distance range of the wireless device.

3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the processing unit is configured to determine a geographic position of the wireless device.

4. The device of claim 1 , wherein an additional processing unit is configured to determine a communication capacity of the wireless device, and to estimate a communication requirement based on the request message.

5. The device of claim 4 , wherein the additional processing unit is configured to determine a data type capacity of the wireless device, and is configured to determine a data rate capacity of the wireless device.

6. The device of claim 5 , wherein the additional processing unit is configured to estimate a data type requirement and a data rate requirement to perform the communication task.

7. The device of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting unit is configured to provide the wireless device with a topography map of the wireless cell network, wherein the topography map comprises an indication of a primary optimal location and an indication of a primary optimal device.

8. The device of claim 7 , wherein the topography map comprises the indication of at least one secondary optimal location and at least one secondary optimal device.

9. A device for configuring a wireless device within a wireless cell network, said configuration device comprises:

a transmitter configured to transmit optimal information to a wireless device with respect to a request message in order to facilitate performance of a communications task requested in the request message through use of the optimal information,

wherein the transmitter is configured to transmit the optimal information comprising primary optimal location information and a primary optimal device indicator to perform the communications task; and

wherein a processor is configured to determine location information of the wireless device within a wireless cell network, via wireless communication standards comprising at least one of a short range communication standard according to IEEE 802.11, a low cost short-range wireless specification and an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communication standard.

10. The device of claim 9 , wherein the processor is configured to determine a distance range of the wireless device.

11. The device of claim 9 , wherein the processor is configured to determine a geographic position of the wireless device.

12. The device of claim 9 , wherein an additional processor is configured to determine a communication capacity of the wireless device, and to estimate a communication requirement based on the request message.

13. The device of claim 12 , wherein the additional processor is configured to determine a data type capacity of the wireless device, and is configured to determine a data rate capacity of the wireless device.

14. The device of claim 13 , wherein the additional processor is configured to estimate a data type requirement and a data rate requirement to perform the communication task.

15. The device of claim 9 , wherein the transmitter is configured to provide the wireless device with a topography map of the wireless cell network, wherein the topography map comprises an indication of a primary optimal location and an indication of a primary optimal device.

16. The device of claim 15 , wherein the topography map comprises the indication of at least one secondary optimal location and at least one secondary optimal device.

17. A wireless communication device, comprising:

a wireless transceiver that transmits optimal information to a wireless device with respect to a request message to facilitate performance of a communications task requested in the request message through use of the optimal information, wherein the wireless transceiver transmits the optimal information that includes primary optimal location information and a primary optimal device indicator to perform the communications task; and

a processor operatively coupled to the wireless transceiver, wherein the processor determines location information of the wireless device within a wireless cellular network via IEEE 802.11 wireless communications, Bluetooth communications or Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communications.

18. The wireless communication device of claim 17 , wherein the processor determines a distance range or a geographic position of the wireless communication device.

The wireless communication device of claim 17 , wherein the wireless transceiver provides the wireless communication device with a topography map of the wireless cellular network, and wherein the topography map comprises an indication of a primary optimal location and an indication of a primary optimal device.

20. The wireless communication device of claim 19 , wherein the topography map comprises the indication of at least one secondary optimal location and at least one secondary optimal device.
