Abstract

A liquid crystal device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate; a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate; a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on a side of the first substrate facing the liquid crystal layer; and a color filter and an electrostatic shielding layer disposed on a side of the second substrate facing the liquid crystal layer, the color filter including coloring layers of at least three different colors, the electrostatic shielding layer having an aperture formed therein corresponding to the coloring layer of at least one of the three different colors.

Claims (17)

1. A liquid crystal device comprising:

a first substrate;

a second substrate;

a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate;

a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on a side of the first substrate facing the liquid crystal layer; and

a color filter and an electrostatic shielding layer disposed on a side of the second substrate facing the liquid crystal layer, the color filter including coloring layers of at least red, green and blue,

the electrostatic shielding layer having an aperture formed therein corresponding only to the blue coloring layer.

2. A liquid crystal device according to claim 1 , wherein

the second substrate has a light-shielding portion made of resin for partitioning the coloring layer of one color from that of another color, and

the aperture in the electrostatic shielding layer is formed in such a manner that the region of the aperture partially overlaps the light-shielding portion in plan view.

3. The liquid crystal device according to claim 1 , wherein

the second substrate has an overcoating layer that covers the color filter, and

the electrostatic shielding layer is disposed between a substrate surface of the second substrate and the overcoating layer.

4. A liquid crystal device according to claim 3 , wherein the electrostatic shielding layer is disposed between the color filter and the overcoating layer.

5. A liquid crystal device according to claim 3 , wherein the overcoating layer has a thickness of 1 μm to 5 μm.

6. A liquid crystal device according to claim 1 , wherein the electrostatic shielding layer has a thickness of 20 nm to 200 nm.

7. An electronic apparatus comprising a liquid crystal device according to claim 1 .
