sending the alert to the alert party when the calling party information is unavailable in a contact list of the receiving party permitting the alert party to view the message and other information regarding the calling party if the calling party information is unavailable in the contact list of the receiving party.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein performing the lookup of the information relating to the calling party in the database comprises:

sending a query with the identifier to the database;

determining if the identifier is located in the database; and

receiving information associated with the calling party when the identifier is located in the database.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the alert comprises at least one of the message, the information associated with the message, a name and a number of the calling party.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein sending an alert to the alert party comprises displaying the information along with other details of the calling party on a device of the alert party.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein if the calling party is available in the receiving party contact list, displaying the message on a device of the receiving party.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein if the calling party is available in the receiving party contact list, playing an audio of the message on a device of the receiving party.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving the alert and reviewing the message to determine whether to authorize the message to be received by the receiving party, when at least one of the message and the information are not recognized by the receiving party device.

10. A system for informing an alert party in a communications network, the system comprising:

at least one device of a receiving party for receiving a message from a calling party; and

at least one database for storing information associated with the calling party,

wherein the at least one device is operable to perform a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database via an Internet Protocol connection, the lookup is based on an identifier associated with the message, send an alert to the alert party if the calling party information is unavailable in a contact list of the receiving party which permits the alert party to view the message and other information regarding the calling party if the calling party information is unavailable in the contact list of the receiving party.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the at least one device is operable to:

send a query with the identifier to the database;

determine if the identifier is located in the database; and

receive information associated with the calling party if the identifier is located in the database.

12. The system of claim 10 , wherein the alert party is further operable to:

suppress the message and the information of the calling party; and

present the message and information to the receiving party after authorization.

13. The system of claim 10 , wherein if the calling party is available in the receiving party contact list, displaying the message on the device of the receiving party.

14. The system of claim 10 , wherein if the calling party is available in the receiving party contact list, playing an audio of the message on the device of the receiving party.

15. The system of claim 10 , wherein the alert party is further operable to:

receive the alert and review the message to determine whether to authorize the message to be received by the receiving party, if the message and the information are not recognized by the device of the receiving party.

16. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions executable by a processor for alerting information provided to a receiving party in a communications network, the instructions further controlling the processor to perform:

receiving a message from a calling party;

performing a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database via an Internet Protocol connection, wherein the lookup is based on an identifier associated with the message; and

sending an alert to the alert party if the calling party information is unavailable in a contact list of the receiving party permitting the alert party to view the message and other information regarding the calling party if the calling party information is unavailable in the contact list of the receiving party.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the processor is further configured to perform:

informing the alert party when the calling party information is unavailable in the receiving party;

suppressing the message and the information of the calling party; and

presenting the message and information to the alert party.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the processor is further configured to perform:

sending a query with the identifier to the database;

determining if the identifier is located in the database; and

receiving information associated with the calling party if the identifier is located in the database.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the processor is further configured to perform:

displaying the message on a device of the receiving party if the calling party information is present in a contact list of the receiving party.
