1. A material for a light emitting device comprising a compound represented by the following formula (1):
wherein each A independently represents a nitrogen atom or a carbon atom, which may have a substituent, each of the rings consisting of A and nitrogen atoms independently represents an aromatic ring or an aromatic heterocyclic ring; and
L represents a divalent linking group.
2. The material for a light emitting device according to claim 1 ,
wherein the compound represented by formula (1) is a compound represented by the following formula (2):
wherein each of R 1 and R 2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, and they may be linked to each other to form a ring;
each A independently represents a nitrogen atom or a carbon atom, a ring consisting of A, carbon atoms and nitrogen atoms represents an aromatic heterocyclic ring;
n represents an integer of 1 or 2; and
each of R 11 to R 18 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
3. The material for a light emitting device according to claim 2 ,
wherein the compound represented by formula (2) is a compound represented by the following formula (3):
wherein each of R 1 and R 2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group;
n represents an integer of 1 or 2; and
each of R 11 , R 13 , R 14 and R 17 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
4. The material for a light emitting device according to claim 2 ,
wherein the compound represented by formula (2) is a compound represented by the following formula (4):
wherein each of R 1 and R 2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group;
n represents an integer of 1 or 2; and
each of R 11 , R 13 , R 14 and R 17 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
5. The material for a light emitting device according to claim 2 ,
wherein at least one of R 12 to R 18 in formula (2) represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms.
6. An organic electroluminescence device comprising:
a pair of electrodes; and
an organic layer including a light emitting layer between the pair of electrodes,
wherein the organic layer contains the compound represented by any of formulae (1) to (4) according to claim 1 .
7. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 6 ,
wherein the layer containing the compound represented by formula (1) is the light emitting layer.
8. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 6 ,
wherein the light emitting layer further contains a hydrocarbon compound.
9. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 8 ,
wherein the hydrocarbon compound is a compound represented by the following formula (VI):
wherein each of R 4 , R 6 , R 8 , R 10 , X 4 to X 15 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
10. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 6 ,
wherein the electrodes include an anode,
a charge transporting layer is provided between the light emitting layer and the anode, and
the charge transporting layer contains a carbazole compound.
11. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 10 ,
wherein the carbazole compound is represented by the following formula (a):
wherein R represents a substituent capable of substituting on the hydrogen atom of the compound;
when there are two or more R's, each R may be the same with or different from every other R; and
n represents an integer of 0 to 8.
12. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 10 ,
wherein the carbazole compound is represented by the following formula (b):
wherein R represents a substituent capable of substituting on the hydrogen atom of the compound;
when there are two or more R's, each R may be the same with or different from every other R; and
n represents an integer of 0 to 8.
13. A display using the organic electroluminescence device according to claim 6 .
14. An illuminating apparatus using the organic electroluminescence device according to claim 6 .
