Abstract

The present invention relates to IL-17 Receptor A antigen binding proteins, such as antibodies, and methods for diagnosing and treating diseases mediated by IL-17 Receptor A activation.

Claims (174)

1. A method of treating plaque psoriasis, comprising administering to a patient having plaque psoriasis a composition comprising an antibody selected from the group consisting of:

a. an isolated antibody, comprising a light chain variable domain sequence comprising SEQ ID NO:40 and a heavy chain variable domain sequence comprising SEQ ID NO:14; and

b. an isolated antibody, comprising a light chain CDR1 comprising SEQ ID NO:224, a light chain CDR2 comprising SEQ ID NO:225, a light chain CDR3 comprising SEQ ID NO:226, a heavy chain CDR1 comprising SEQ ID NO:146, a heavy chain CDR2 comprising SEQ ID NO:147, a heavy chain CDR3 comprising SEQ ID NO:148,

wherein said antibody specifically binds to human IL-17 receptor A and inhibits the binding of IL-17A to said IL-17 receptor A.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising administering to said patient a second treatment comprising a pharmaceutical composition.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein said second treatment is administered prior to, concurrent with, or subsequent to administration of said composition comprising said antibody.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a humanized antibody;

c. a chimeric antibody;

d. a monoclonal antibody;

e. an antigen-binding antibody fragment;

f. a single chain antibody;

g. a diabody;

h. a triabody;

i. a tetrabody;

j. a Fab fragment;

k. a F(ab′)2 fragment;

l. an IgD antibody;

m. an IgE antibody;

n. an IgM antibody;

o. an IgG1 antibody;

p. an IgG2 antibody;

q. an IgG3 antibody; and

r. an IgG4 antibody.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a humanized antibody;

c. a chimeric antibody;

d. a monoclonal antibody;

e. an antigen-binding antibody fragment;

f. a single chain antibody;

g. a Fab fragment;

h. a F(ab′)2 fragment;

i. an IgG1 antibody; and

j. an IgG2 antibody.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein said antibody is a human antibody.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein said antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein said antibody is a human monoclonal antibody.

11. The method of claim 1 , wherein said antibody is a human IgG2 monoclonal antibody.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

13. The method of claim 12 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.

14. A method of treating plaque psoriasis, comprising administering to a patient having plaque psoriasis a composition comprising an isolated antibody comprising a light chain CDR1 comprising SEQ ID NO:224, a light chain CDR2 comprising SEQ ID NO:225, a light chain CDR3 comprising SEQ ID NO:226, a heavy chain CDR1 comprising SEQ ID NO:146, a heavy chain CDR2 comprising SEQ ID NO:147, a heavy chain CDR3 comprising SEQ ID NO:148, wherein said antibody specifically binds to human IL-17 receptor A and inhibits the binding of IL-17A to said IL-17 receptor A.

15. The method of claim 14 , further comprising administering to said patient a second treatment comprising a pharmaceutical composition.

16. The method of claim 15 , wherein said second treatment is administered prior to, concurrent with, or subsequent to administration of said composition comprising said antibody.

17. The method of claim 14 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.

19. The method of claim 14 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a humanized antibody;

c. a chimeric antibody;

d. a monoclonal antibody;

e. an antigen-binding antibody fragment;

f. a single chain antibody;

g. a diabody;

h. a triabody;

i. a tetrabody;

j. a Fab fragment;

k. a F(ab′)2 fragment;

l. an IgD antibody;

m. an IgE antibody;

n. an IgM antibody;

o. an IgG1 antibody;

p. an IgG2 antibody;

q. an IgG3 antibody; and

r. an IgG4 antibody.

20. The method of claim 14 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a humanized antibody;

c. a chimeric antibody;

d. a monoclonal antibody;

e. an antigen-binding antibody fragment;

f. a single chain antibody;

g. a Fab fragment;

h. a F(ab′)2 fragment;

i. an IgG1 antibody; and

j. an IgG2 antibody.

21. The method of claim 14 , wherein said antibody is a human antibody.

22. The method of claim 14 , wherein said antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

23. The method of claim 14 , wherein said antibody is a human monoclonal antibody.

24. The method of claim 14 , wherein said antibody is a human IgG2 monoclonal antibody.

25. The method of claim 24 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

26. The method of claim 25 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.

27. A method of treating plaque psoriasis, comprising administering to a patient having plaque psoriasis a composition comprising an isolated antibody comprising a light chain variable domain sequence comprising SEQ ID NO:40 and a heavy chain variable domain sequence comprising SEQ ID NO:14, wherein said antibody specifically binds to human IL-17 receptor A and inhibits the binding of IL-17A to said IL-17 receptor A.

28. The method of claim 27 , further comprising administering to said patient a second treatment comprising a pharmaceutical composition.

29. The method of claim 28 , wherein said second treatment is administered prior to, concurrent with, or subsequent to administration of said composition comprising said antibody.

30. The method of claim 27 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

31. The method of claim 30 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.

32. The method of claim 27 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a humanized antibody;

c. a chimeric antibody;

d. a monoclonal antibody;

e. an antigen-binding antibody fragment;

f. a single chain antibody;

g. a diabody;

h. a triabody;

i. a tetrabody;

j. a Fab fragment;

k. a F(ab′)2 fragment;

l. an IgD antibody;

m. an IgE antibody;

n. an IgM antibody;

o. an IgG1 antibody;

p. an IgG2 antibody;

q. an IgG3 antibody; and

r. an IgG4 antibody.

33. The method of claim 27 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a humanized antibody;

c. a chimeric antibody;

d. a monoclonal antibody;

e. an antigen-binding antibody fragment;

f. a single chain antibody;

g. a Fab fragment;

h. a F(ab′)2 fragment;

i. an IgG1 antibody; and

j. an IgG2 antibody.

34. The method of claim 27 , wherein said antibody is a human antibody.

35. The method of claim 27 , wherein said antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

36. The method of claim 27 , wherein said antibody is a human monoclonal antibody.

37. The method of claim 27 , wherein said antibody is a human IgG2 monoclonal antibody.

38. The method of claim 37 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

39. The method of claim 38 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.

40. A method of treating plaque psoriasis, comprising administering to a patient having plaque psoriasis a composition comprising an isolated antibody comprising a light chain sequence comprising amino acids 21-234 of SEQ ID NO:429 and a heavy chain sequence comprising SEQ ID NO:427, wherein said antibody specifically binds to human IL-17 receptor A and inhibits the binding of IL-17A to said IL-17 receptor A.

41. The method of claim 40 , further comprising administering to said patient a second treatment comprising a pharmaceutical composition.

42. The method of claim 41 , wherein said second treatment is administered prior to, concurrent with, or subsequent to administration of said composition comprising said antibody.

43. The method of claim 40 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

44. The method of claim 40 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a monoclonal antibody;

c. a single chain antibody;

d. a diabody;

e. a triabody;

f. a tetrabody; and

g. an IgG2 antibody.

45. The method of claim 40 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a monoclonal antibody;

c. a single chain antibody; and

d. an IgG2 antibody.

46. The method of claim 40 , wherein said antibody is a human antibody.

47. The method of claim 40 , wherein said antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

48. The method of claim 40 , wherein said antibody is a human monoclonal antibody.

49. The method of claim 40 , wherein said antibody is a human IgG2 monoclonal antibody.

50. The method of claim 49 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

51. The method of claim 50 , wherein said pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.

52. A method of treating plaque psoriasis, comprising administering to a patient having plaque psoriasis a composition comprising an isolated antibody comprising a light chain sequence encoded by a polynucleotide comprising nucleotides 84-741 of SEQ ID NO:428 and a heavy chain sequence encoded by a polynucleotide comprising SEQ ID NO:426, wherein said antibody is produced from a Chinese Hamster Ovary Cell (CHO cell), and wherein said antibody specifically binds to human IL-17 receptor A and inhibits the binding of IL-17A to said IL-17 receptor A.

53. The method of claim 52 , further comprising administering to said patient a second treatment comprising a pharmaceutical composition.

54. The method of claim 53 , wherein said second treatment is administered prior to, concurrent with, or subsequent to administration of said composition comprising said antibody.

55. The method of claim 53 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

56. The method of claim 55 , wherein said composition pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.

57. The method of claim 52 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a monoclonal antibody;

c. a single chain antibody;

d. a diabody;

e. a triabody;

f. a tetrabody; and

g. an IgG2 antibody.

58. The method of claim 52 , wherein said antibody is selected from the group consisting of:

a. a human antibody;

b. a monoclonal antibody;

c. a single chain antibody; and

d. an IgG2 antibody.

59. The method of claim 52 , wherein said antibody is a human antibody.

60. The method of claim 52 , wherein said antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

61. The method of claim 52 , wherein said antibody is a human monoclonal antibody.

62. The method of claim 52 , wherein said antibody is a human IgG2 monoclonal antibody.

63. The method of claim 62 , wherein said antibody is glycosylated.

64. The method of claim 63 , wherein said composition is a pharmaceutical composition.

65. The method of claim 64 , wherein said composition pharmaceutical composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.
