Abstract

A system for perfusion management that monitors, maintains, diagnoses, or treats perfusion deficiencies.

Claims (62)

1. A device for perfusion management comprising:

one or more telescopically extensible and/or retractable conduits that is operable to deliver at least one receivable to one or more bodily locations and that includes one or more portholes; and

one or more sensors that is associated with at least some of the one or more portholes and that is covered by one or more removable coverings,

wherein at least one of the one or more portholes is disposed along a length of at least one of the one or more telescopically extensible and/or retractable conduits.

2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the device is at least partially programmably controllable.

3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the device is at least partially wirelessly controllable.

4. The device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more telescopically extensible and/or retractable conduits includes one or more flexible and/or articulatable portions.

5. The device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more telescopically extensible and/or retractable conduits includes one or more stent portions.

6. The device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more portholes is positioned at an end of at least one of the one or more telescopically extensible and/or retractable conduits.

7. The device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more telescopically extensible and/or retractable conduits includes two or more segments.

8. The device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more sensors is operable to obtain information for establishing one or more images.

9. The device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more sensors is operable to obtain information for mapping one or more variable gradients.

10. The device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more removable coverings is electronically controllable.

11. The device of claim 1 , further comprising:

one or more storage units that is operable to store one or more receivables.

12. The device of claim 1 , further comprising:

one or more mixing units that is operable to mix two or more receivables.

13. The device of claim 1 , further comprising:

one or more tools that is operable to at least partially block liquid flow.

14. The device of claim 1 , further comprising:

one or more guidable tools.

15. The device of claim 1 , further comprising:

one or more sources of radiation.

16. The device of claim 1 , further comprising:

one or more transmitters and/or receivers.

17. The device of claim 1 , wherein the device is maintainable fully in vivo substantially inactively between one or more periods of usage.

18. The device of claim 1 , wherein the device is positionable fully in vivo.

19. The device of claim 1 , wherein the device is implantable fully in vivo.

20. A device for perfusion management comprising:

one or more conduits having a decreasing diameter along its length that is operable to deliver at least one receivable to one or more bodily locations and that includes one or more portholes; and

one or more sensors that is associated with at least some of the one or more portholes, that is covered by one or more removable coverings, and that is contained on and/or in the one or more conduits.

21. The device of claim 20 , wherein at least one of the one or more portholes is positioned at an end of at least one of the one or more conduits.

22. The device of claim 20 , wherein at least one of the one or more removable coverings is electronically controllable.

23. The device of claim 20 , wherein the device is positionable fully in vivo.

24. A device for perfusion management comprising:

one or more conduits that is operable to deliver at least one receivable to one or more bodily locations and that includes one or more portholes;

one or more sensors that is associated with at least some of the one or more portholes and that is covered by one or more removable coverings; and

one or more tools that is operable to ablate, degrade, and/or liquefy material.

25. The device of claim 24 , wherein at least one of the one or more portholes is positioned at an end of at least one of the one or more conduits.

26. The device of claim 24 , wherein at least one of the one or more removable coverings is electronically controllable.

27. The device of claim 24 , wherein the device is positionable fully in vivo.

28. A device for perfusion management comprising:

one or more conduits that is operable to deliver at least one receivable to one or more bodily locations and that includes one or more portholes;

one or more sensors that is associated with at least some of the one or more portholes and that is covered by one or more removable coverings; and

one or more tools that is operable to capture material.

29. The device of claim 28 , wherein at least one of the one or more portholes is positioned at an end of at least one of the one or more conduits.

30. The device of claim 28 , wherein at least one of the one or more removable coverings is electronically controllable.

31. The device of claim 28 , wherein the device is positionable fully in vivo.

32. A device for perfusion management comprising:

one or more conduits that is operable to deliver at least one receivable to one or more bodily locations and that includes one or more portholes;

one or more sensors that is associated with at least some of the one or more portholes and that is covered by one or more removable coverings; and

one or more tools that is operable to cauterize material.

33. The device of claim 32 , wherein at least one of the one or more portholes is positioned at an end of at least one of the one or more conduits.

34. The device of claim 32 , wherein at least one of the one or more removable coverings is electronically controllable.

35. The device of claim 32 , wherein the device is positionable fully in vivo.

36. A device for perfusion management comprising:

one or more conduits that is operable to deliver at least one receivable to one or more bodily locations and that includes one or more portholes;

one or more sensors that is associated with at least some of the one or more portholes and that is covered by one or more removable coverings; and
