Abstract

A system and method for delivering an in-store promotion to a consumer includes storing in a database a plurality of predetermined data fields for use in creating an in-store promotion. The method further includes a server receiving inputs for the plurality of predetermined data fields from a user advertiser creating the promotion. In response to receiving a request from a consumer device to present the in-store promotion, the server dynamically generates the in-store promotion using the inputs without requesting additional information from a consumer operating the consumer device. Once generated, the server transmits the in-store promotion to the consumer device without any system-specific client software to be stored by the consumer device.

a server receiving inputs for the plurality of predetermined data fields and a selection of at least one of the plurality of tracking methods from a user;

in response to receiving a request from a consumer device to present the in-store promotion, the server dynamically generating the in-store promotion using the inputs and the at least one tracking method without requesting additional information from a consumer operating the consumer device; and

transmitting the in-store promotion from the server to the consumer device without any client software to be stored by the consumer device.

2 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of the server using the at least one tracking method to track the in-store promotion upon the consumer accessing the in-store promotion.

3 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of the server using the at least one tracking method to track the in-store promotion upon the consumer printing the in-store promotion.

4 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of the server using the at least one tracking method to track the in-store promotion after the consumer redeems the in-store promotion at a store.

5 . The method of claim 1 wherein the step of generating the in-store promotion further comprises generating an offer identifier.

6 . The method of claim 5 wherein the step of generating the offer identifier further comprises generating a bar code.

7 . The method of claim 6 wherein the bar code is capable of being read by a point of sale device at a store.

8 . The method of claim 5 wherein the step of generating the offer identifier further comprises generating an in-store promotional code.

9 . The method of claim 1 wherein the step of transmitting the in-store promotion further comprises transmitting the in-store promotion through an electronic communication channel.

10 . The method of claim 1 wherein the step of transmitting the in-store promotion further comprises sending an email.

13 . The method of claim 12 wherein the plurality of optional offer data items comprises text, images, and configuration settings.

14 . The method of claim 12 wherein the plurality of predetermined data fields further comprises selectable barcode structures.

15 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of receiving at least one element not previously stored in the database from the user to include in the in-store promotion.

16 . The method of claim 1 wherein the plurality of tracking methods comprises methods for tracking distribution channels, search keywords entered into the consumer browser, and consumer identification information.

17 . The method of claim 1 wherein the request is received from a consumer browser executing on a consumer device.

18 . The method of claim 17 further comprising the step of receiving the request from the consumer browser in response to the consumer invoking a hyperlink.

19 . A system for delivering an in-store promotion to a consumer comprising:

a database storing a plurality of predetermined data fields and a plurality of tracking methods for use in creating an in-store promotion; and

a server in communication with the database, the server receiving inputs for the plurality of predetermined data fields and a selection of at least one of the plurality of tracking methods from a user;

wherein the server (i) dynamically generates the in-store promotion using the inputs and the at least one tracking method in response to receiving a request from a consumer device to present the in-store promotion and without requesting additional information from a consumer operating the consumer device; and (ii) transmits the in-store promotion from the server to the consumer device without any additional software to be stored by the consumer device.

20 . The system of claim 19 wherein the in-store promotion further comprises an offer identifier.

21 . The system of claim 20 wherein the offer identifier further comprises a bar code.

22 . The system of claim 20 wherein the offer identifier further comprises an in-store promotional code.

23 . The system of claim 19 wherein the server transmits the in-store promotion by sending an email capable of being accessed by the consumer device.

24 . The system of claim 19 wherein the server transmits the in-store promotion by sending a text message to the consumer device.

25 . The system of claim 19 wherein the database stores a plurality of optional offer data items for use in creating the in-store promotion.

26 . The system of claim 25 wherein the plurality of optional offer data items comprises text, images and configuration settings.

27 . The system of claim 18 wherein the plurality of predetermined data fields further comprises selectable barcode structures.

28 . The system of claim 19 wherein the plurality of tracking methods comprises methods for tracking distribution channels, search keywords entered into the consumer browser, and consumer identification information.

29 . The system of claim 28 wherein the server uses the at least one tracking method to track the in-store promotion after the consumer accesses the in-store promotion.
