Abstract

A display apparatus has a liquid crystal display having a display panel, a housing, a circulating fan, and an air conditioner. The housing has a sealing part. The sealing part seals around the display panel and accommodates the display panel therein, while making the display screen viewable from outside. The circulating fan circulates air along a circulation path surrounding the display panel wherein the path includes a space between the display screen and the sealing part. The air conditioner collects heat from the air circulating the circulation path and releases the heat to outside of the housing.

Claims (23)

1. A display apparatus comprising:

a flat display including a display panel having a rear surface;

a housing including a sealing part that seals the display panel while making the displayscreen viewable, the housing having an aeration path arranged outside the sealing part and communicating with outside of the housing;

a circulating unit that circulates air along a circulation path surrounding the display panel wherein the path includes a space between the display screen and the sealing part;

a first heat exchange unit that collects heat from the air circulating in the circulation path and releases the heat to outside of the housing, wherein the first heat exchange unit is formed by a plurality of heat pipes which are arranged along the rear surface of the display panel and extend from the rear surface of the display panel into the aeration path;

a fan unit for moving air from a first end of the aeration path to second end of the aeration path, the fan unit comprising fans positioned at the first end and the second end of the aeration path;

heat collecting fins directly connected to and arranged over the plurality of heat pipes in the sealing part, wherein

each of the heat pipes has one an end portion positioned in direct contact with the rear surface of the display panel and the other end portion positioned within to the aeration path;

the aeration path extends in a generally vertical direction; and

the fan unit makes the air in the aeration path flow in the same direction in the generally vertical direction.

2. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of heat pipes are arranged in repetition on the rear surface of the display panel in an extending direction of the aeration path.

3. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the aeration path is formed on a side surface of the sealing part, and extends along the side surface.

4. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of heat pipes are arranged in repetition in the aeration path in the extending direction of the aeration path.

5. A display apparatus comprising:

a display part,

a housing that seals the display part and makes a displaying surface of the display part viewable from outside;

a circulating unit that circulates air in the housing so that the air surrounds the display part;

a first heat exchange unit that collects heart from the air circulating in the housing, wherein the first heat exchange unit is formed by a plurality of heat pipes which are arranged along a rear surface of the display part;

heat collecting fins directly connected to and arranged over the plurality of heat pipes in a sealing part;

a second heat exchange trait that collects heat from the first heat exchange unit and releases the heat to outside of the housing, wherein

each of the heat pipes has one an end portion positioned in direct contact with the rear surface of the display panel and the other end portion positioned within the aeration path;

the second heat exchange unit is arranged along a lower portion of the rear surface of the display part and under the display part, the second heat exchange unit comprises an air conditioner arranged inside the housing; and

the air conditioner comprises an evaporator arranged inside the sealing part in the housing and a condenser arranged outside the sealing part in the housing.
