Claims (35)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, at a merchant computing device, transaction information indicating a requested transaction from a user computing device, the transaction information including a first portion of credit card or debit card information, wherein the credit card or debit card information also includes a second portion that is necessary to complete the requested transaction that is not received at the merchant computing device;

in response to receiving the transaction information, redirecting the user computing device to a user interface associated with a verification system, the user interface requesting the second portion of the credit card or debit card information;

receiving at the merchant computing device a first approval indication from the verification system;

receiving at the merchant computing device a second approval indication from the user computing device;

comparing the first approval indication and the second approval indication; and

in response to determining, at the merchant computing device, that the first approval indication and the second approval indication match, initiating completion of a transaction indicated in the transaction information.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a credit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of a card security code associated with the credit card account number.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a debit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of a PIN number associated with the debit card account number.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a credit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of an expiration date associated with the credit card account number.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction information further comprises information associated with a product to be purchased by the user computing device and a payment amount associated with the product.

6. A computing system comprising:

a processor; and

a computer readable medium storing machine-executable instructions including one or more modules configured for execution by the processor in order to cause the computing system to:

receive, at a merchant computing device, transaction information indicating a requested transaction from a user computing device, the transaction information including a first portion of credit card or debit card information, wherein the credit card or debit card information also includes a second portion that is necessary to complete the requested transaction that is not received at the merchant computing device;

in response to receiving the transaction information, redirect the user computing device to a user interface associated with a verification system, the user interface requesting the second portion of the credit card or debit card information;

receive at the merchant computing device a first approval indication from the verification system;

receive at the merchant computing device a second approval indication from the user computing device;

compare the first approval indication and the second approval indication; and

in response to determining that the first approval indication and the second approval indication match, initiate completion of a transaction indicated in the transaction information.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a credit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of a card security code associated with the credit card account number.

8. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a debit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of a PIN number associated with the debit card account number.

9. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a credit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of an expiration date associated with the credit card account number.

10. The system of claim 6 , wherein the transaction information further comprises information associated with a product to be purchased by the user computing device and a payment amount associated with the product.

11. A computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, if executed by a computing device, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:

receiving, at a merchant computing device, transaction information indicating a requested transaction from a user computing device, the transaction information including a first portion of financial account information, wherein the financial account information also includes a second portion that is necessary to complete the requested transaction that is not received at the merchant computing device;

in response to receiving the transaction information, redirecting the user computing device to a user interface associated with a verification system, the user interface requesting the second portion of the financial account information;

receiving at the merchant computing device a first approval indication from the verification system;

receiving at the merchant computing device a second approval indication from the user computing device;

comparing the first approval indication and the second approval indication; and

in response to determining that the first approval indication and the second approval indication match, initiating completion of a transaction indicated in the transaction information.

12. The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a credit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of a card security code associated with the credit card account number.

13. The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a debit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of a PIN number associated with the debit card account number.

14. The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the first portion comprises at least part of a credit card account number and the second portion comprises at least part of an expiration date associated with the credit card account number.

15. The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the transaction information further comprises information associated with a product to be purchased by the user computing device and a payment amount associated with the product.
