Abstract

A method for performing communication in a user equipment of a wireless communication system comprises receiving a control region through a specific frequency block of a plurality of frequency blocks, the control region including a plurality of control channels; identifying a first control channel for the user equipment in the control region; and performing an operation in accordance with information included in the first control channel, wherein the specific frequency block through which the first control channel is transmitted is changed according to a certain pattern with the lapse of time.

Claims (32)

1. A method of receiving a downlink signal by a user equipment (UE) configured with multiple frequency blocks in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, by the UE, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal including downlink scheduling information via a first frequency block, wherein the downlink scheduling information includes a frequency block indicator and resource allocation information for one or more transport blocks (TBs); and

receiving, by the UE, the downlink signal including the one or more TBs in accordance with the PDCCH signal via a second frequency block, wherein the second frequency block is indicated by the frequency block indicator among the multiple frequency blocks,

wherein the multiple frequency blocks have different carriers, and the first frequency block is different from the second frequency block.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the downlink scheduling information further includes modulation-related information and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-related information.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein a number of the multiple frequency blocks is less than a number of frequency blocks in a system bandwidth.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the frequency block indicator consists of N−1 bits, and each of the N−1 bits represent a boundary between two neighboring frequency blocks in the multiple frequency blocks, wherein N is a number of the multiple frequency blocks.

5. A method of transmitting a downlink signal by a device to a user equipment configured with multiple frequency blocks in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting, by the device to the user equipment configured with the multiple frequency blocks, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal including downlink scheduling information via a first frequency block, wherein the downlink scheduling information includes a frequency block indicator and resource allocation information for one or more transport blocks (TBs); and

transmitting, by the device to the user equipment configured with the multiple frequency blocks, the downlink signal including the one or more TBs in accordance with the PDCCH signal via a second frequency block, wherein the second frequency block is indicated by the frequency block indicator among the multiple frequency blocks,

wherein the multiple frequency blocks have different carriers, and the first frequency block is different from the second frequency block.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the downlink scheduling information further includes modulation-related information and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD)-related information.

7. The method of claim 5 , wherein a number of the multiple frequency blocks is less than a number of frequency blocks in a system bandwidth.

8. The method of claim 5 , wherein the frequency block indicator consists of N−1 bits, and each of the N−1 bits represent a boundary between two neighboring frequency blocks in the multiple frequency blocks, wherein N is a number of the multiple frequency blocks.

9. A user equipment for use in a wireless communication system, the user equipment configured with multiple frequency blocks, and comprising:

a radio frequency unit; and

a processor adapted to:

receive a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal including downlink scheduling information via a first frequency block, wherein the downlink scheduling information includes a frequency block indicator and resource allocation information for one or more transport blocks (TBs); and

receive a downlink signal including the one or more TBs in accordance with the PDCCH signal via a second frequency block at the subframe, wherein the second frequency block is indicated by the frequency block indicator among the multiple frequency blocks,

wherein the multiple frequency blocks have different carriers, and the first frequency block is different from the second frequency block.

10. The user equipment of claim 9 , wherein the downlink scheduling information further includes modulation-related information and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD)-related information.

11. The user equipment of claim 9 , wherein a number of the multiple frequency blocks is less than a number of frequency blocks in a system bandwidth.

12. The user equipment of claim 9 , wherein the frequency block indicator consists of N−1 bits, and each of the N−1 bits represent a boundary between two neighboring frequency blocks in the multiple frequency blocks, wherein N is a number of the multiple frequency blocks.

13. A base station for use in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

a radio frequency unit; and

a processor adapted to:

transmit, to a user equipment configured with multiple frequency blocks, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal including downlink scheduling information via a first frequency block at a subframe, wherein the downlink scheduling information includes a frequency block indicator and resource allocation information for one or more transport blocks (TBs); and

transmit, to the user equipment configured with the multiple frequency blocks, a downlink signal including the one or more TBs in accordance with the PDCCH signal via a second frequency block, wherein the second frequency block is indicated by the frequency block indicator among the multiple frequency blocks,

wherein the multiple frequency blocks have different carriers, and the first frequency block is different from the second frequency block.
