Abstract

The invention aims at providing a forced cooling rotary electric machine capable of bringing temperature distribution close to a designed temperature distribution and avoiding becoming a larger size, and employs a wedge formed with ventilation grooves and a wedge not formed with the ventilation grooves to regulate the flow rates of cooling gas passing through air ducts, so that the cooling gas supplied to a part of a stator core, in which temperature is low, can be caused to flow positively to a part in which the temperature is high and the temperature distribution in the axial direction of the stator core can be uniformized. As a result, the temperature distribution in the axial direction of the stator core can be brought close to a designed temperature distribution, and a forced cooling rotary electric machine that need not be made larger in size with a margin can be obtained.

Claims (19)

1. A forced cooling rotary electric machine comprising:

a rotor formed on a rotating shaft;

a stator provided around an outer periphery of the rotor with a gap therefrom, said stator having a stator core formed by stacking silicon steel plates along a longitudinal direction of the rotating shaft, a stator winding incorporated in winding grooves formed in the stator core, and wedges inserted on opening sides of the winding grooves to fix the stator winding in the winding grooves, said stator core being formed with a plurality of air ducts in a stacking direction of the silicon steel plates, in which air ducts a cooling gas being forcedly caused to flow; and

flow path resistance regulating means provided on sides facing the rotor of the air ducts to uniformize flow path resistances of flow paths for the cooling gas passing through the respective air ducts,

wherein the rotating shaft is provided with fans on both sides in an axial direction of the rotor, and

wherein the flow path resistance regulating means comprise the wedges formed with ventilation grooves, which are arranged in the air ducts on a central part side in an axial direction of the stator core, and the wedges having no ventilation groove, which are arranged on both end sides in an axial direction of the stator core.

2. A forced cooling rotary electric machine comprising:

a rotor formed on a rotating shaft;

a stator provided around an outer periphery of the rotor with a gap therefrom, said stator having a stator core formed by stacking silicon steel plates along a longitudinal direction of the rotating shaft, a stator winding incorporated in winding grooves formed in the stator core, and wedges inserted on opening sides of the winding grooves to fix the stator winding in the winding grooves, said stator core being formed with a plurality of air ducts in a stacking direction of the silicon steel plates, in which air ducts a cooling gas being forcedly caused to flow; and

flow rate regulating means provided on sides facing the rotor of the air ducts to uniformize flow rates of flow paths for the cooling gas passing through the respective air ducts,

wherein the rotating shaft is provided with fans on both sides in an axial direction of the rotor, and

wherein the flow rate regulating means comprise the wedges formed with ventilation grooves, which are arranged in the air ducts on a central part side in an axial direction of the stator core, and the wedges having no ventilation groove, which are arranged on both end sides in an axial direction of the stator core.

3. A forced cooling rotary electric machine comprising:

a rotor formed on a rotating shaft;

a stator provided around an outer periphery of the rotor with a gap therefrom, said stator having a stator core formed by stacking silicon steel plates along a longitudinal direction of the rotating shaft, a stator winding incorporated in winding grooves formed in the stator core, and wedges inserted on opening sides of the winding grooves to fix the stator winding in the winding grooves, said stator core being formed with a plurality of air ducts in a stacking direction of the silicon steel plates, in which air ducts a cooling gas being forcedly caused to flow, said air ducts being provided at equal intervals in the stacking direction of stacked steel plates;

a plurality of partition walls are provided at equal intervals in the stacking direction of the stacked steel plates on an outer peripheral side of the stator core to form a plurality of ventilation sections, the cooling gas being caused to flow in the adjacent ones of the ventilation sections in reverse directions to each other; and

flow rate resistance regulating means for uniformizing flow path resistances of flow paths for the cooling gas passing through the air ducts, said flow path resistance regulating means being formed sides opposed to the rotor of the air ducts by arranging the wedges formed with ventilation grooves and the wedges having no ventilation groove at positions opposed to the air ducts,

wherein the rotating shaft is provided with fans on both sides in an axial direction of the rotor, and

wherein the flow path resistance regulating means comprise the wedges formed with ventilation grooves, which are arranged in the air ducts on a central part side in an axial direction of the stator core, and the wedges having no ventilation groove, which are arranged on both end sides in an axial direction of the stator core.
