Abstract

The present invention provides 2,4-pyrimidinediamine compounds that inhibit the IgE and/or IgG receptor signaling cascades that lead to the release of chemical mediators, intermediates and methods of synthesizing the compounds and methods of using the compounds in a variety of contexts, including in the treatment and prevention of diseases characterized by, caused by or associated with the release of chemical mediators via degranulation and other processes effected by activation of the IgE and/or IgG receptor signaling cascades.

Claims (9)

1. A compound according to formula (I):

or a salt or N-oxide thereof, wherein:

Q is selected from the group consisting of nitro and amino; and

two R 35 bonded to the same carbon atom are taken together to form an oxo (═O) group and the other two R 35 are each, independently of one another, selected from the group consisting of halo and (C1-C6) alkyl.

2. The compound of claim 1 in which the other two R 35 are each independently methyl or fluoro.

3. A compound of the formula:

where Q is NH 2 or NO 2 or a salt or N-oxide thereof.

4. A compound of the formula:

where Q is —NH 2 or —NO 2 or a salt or N-oxide thereof.
