Abstract

The present invention relates to novel C 2 -phenyl-substituted cyclic ketoenols, to a plurality of processes for their preparation and to their use as pesticides as herbicides.

Claims (211)

1. Compounds of the formula (I)

in which

W represents hydrogen,

X represents alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl,

Y represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, i-propyl, alkenyl or alkinyl,

Z represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl,

with the proviso that at least one of the radicals X, Y or Z represents a chain having at least two carbon atoms,

CKE represents one of the groups

in which

A represents hydrogen, represents in which each case optionally halogen-substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, represents saturated or unsaturated, optionally substituted cycloalkyl in which optionally at least one ring atom is replaced by a heteroatom, or represents in each case optionally halogen-, alkyl-, halogenoalkyl-, alkoxy-, halogenoalkoxy-, cyano- or nitro-substituted aryl, arylalkyl or hetaryl,

B represents hydrogen, alkyl or alkoxyalkyl, or

A and B together with the carbon atom to which they are attached represent a saturated or unsaturated unsubstituted or substituted cycle which optionally contains at least one heteroatom,

A and Q 1 together represent alkanediyl which is optionally substituted by hydroxyl or by in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, cycloalkyl, benzyloxy or aryl or

Q 1 represents hydrogen or alkyl,

Q 2 represents hydrogen or alkyl,

G represents hydrogen (a) or represents one of the groups

E (f) or

in which

E represents a metal ion equivalent or an ammonium ion,

L represents oxygen or sulphur,

M represents oxygen or sulphur,

R 1 represents in each case optionally halogen-substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, poly-alkoxyalkyl or optionally halogen-, alkyl- or alkoxy-substituted cycloalkyl which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom, in each case optionally substituted phenyl, phenylalkyl, hetaryl, phenoxyalkyl or hetaryl-oxyalkyl,

R 2 represents in each case optionally halogen-substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl, polyalkoxyalkyl or represents in each case optionally substituted cycloalkyl, phenyl or benzyl,

R 3 , R 4 and R 5 independently of one another each represent in each case optionally halogen-substituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkylthio, alkenylthio, cycloalkylthio and represent in each case optionally substituted phenyl, benzyl, phenoxy or phenylthio,

R 6 and R 7 independently of one another each represent hydrogen, in each case optionally halogen-substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, represent optionally substituted phenyl, represent optionally substituted benzyl, or together with the N atom to which they are attached represent a cycle which is optionally interrupted by oxygen or sulphur.

2. A process for preparing compounds of the formula (I), wherein

(A) compounds of the formula (I-6-a)

in which

A, B, Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 represents hydrogen or alkyl,

are obtained by intramolecular cyclization of

ketocarboxylic esters of the formula (VIII)

in which

A, B, Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 represents hydrogen or alkyl

R 8 represents alkyl,

if appropriate in the presence of a diluent and if appropriate in the presence of a base; or

(C) compounds of the formulae (I-6(a-g))

in which A, B, D, G, Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above,

where one, or at most two, radicals X, Y or Z represent R 22 —C≡C— or

and R 22 represents hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, are obtained by reacting compounds of the formulae (I-6′(a-g)),

in which

A, B, D, G, Q 1 , W′, X′, Y′ and Z′ are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, and where the apostrophe' means that one, at most two, radicals X, Y and Z in this process represent chlorine, bromine or iodine, with the proviso that the other radicals X, Y and Z do not represent alkenyl or alkinyl with silylacetylenes of the formula (X-a) or vinylstannanes of the formula (X-b)

in which Alk represents C 1 -C 4 alkyl and

R 21 represents C 1 -C 4 alkyl or phenyl,

R 22 represents hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 -alkyl,

in the presence of a solvent, if appropriate in the presence of a base and a catalyst; or

(D) compounds of the formulae (I-6-b) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , R 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, are obtained by reacting compounds of the formulae (I-6-a) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, in each case

(α) with acid halides of the formula (XI)

in which

R 1 is as defined in claim 1 and

Hal represents halogen

or

(β) with carboxylic anhydrides of the formula (XII)

R 1 —CO—O—CO—R 1   (XII)

in which

R 1 is as defined in claim 1 ,

if appropriate in the presence of a diluent and if appropriate in the presence of an acid binder; or

(E) compounds of the formulae (I-6-c) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , R 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, and L represents oxygen are obtained by reacting compounds of the formulae (I-6-a) shown above in which A, B, D Q 1 , R 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, in each case

with chloroformic esters or chloroformic thioesters of the formula (XIII)

R 2 -M—CO—Cl  (XIII)

in which

R 2 and M are each as defined in claim 1 ,

if appropriate in the presence of a diluent and if appropriate in the presence of an acid binder; or

(F) compounds of the formulae (I-6-c) shown above in which A, B, D Q 1 , R 2 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, and L represents sulphur are obtained by reacting compounds of the formulae (I-6-a) shown above in which A, B, D Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, in each case

with chloromonothioformic esters or chlorodithioformic esters of the formula (XIV)

in which

M and R 2 are each as defined in claim 1 ,

if appropriate in the presence of a diluent and if appropriate in the presence of an acid binder; or

(G) compounds of the formulae (I-6-d) shown above in which A, B, D Q 1 , R 3 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, are obtained by reacting compounds of the formulae (I-6-a) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, in each case

with sulphonyl chlorides of the formula (XV)

R 3 —SO 2 —Cl  (XV)

in which

R 3 is as defined in claim 1 ,

if appropriate in the presence of a diluent and if appropriate in the presence of an acid binder; or

(H) compounds of the formulae (I-6-e) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , R 4 , R 5 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, are obtained by reacting compounds of the formulae (I-6-a) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , R 4 , R 5 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, in each case

with phosphorus compounds of the formula (XVI)

in which

L, R 4 and R 5 are each as defined in claim 1 and

Hal represents halogen,

if appropriate in the presence of a diluent and if appropriate in the presence of an acid binder; or

(I) compounds of the formulae (I-6-f) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , Q 2 is as defined above, are obtained by reacting compounds of the formulae (I-6-a), in which A, B, D, Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, in each case

with metal compounds or amines of the formulae (XVII) or (XVIII)

Me(OR 10 ) t   (XVII)

in which

Me represents a mono- or divalent metal,

t represents the number 1 or 2 and

R 10 , R 11 , R 12 independently of one another each represents hydrogen or alkyl, if appropriate in the presence of a diluent; or

(J) compounds of the formulae (I-6-g) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , R 6 , R 7 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, are obtained by reacting compounds of the formulae (I-6-a) shown above in which A, B, D, Q 1 , W, X, Y and Z are each as defined in claim 1 , and Q 2 is as defined above, in each case

(α) with isocyanates or isothiocyanates of the formula (XIX)

R 6 —N═C=L  (XIX)

in which

R 6 and L are each as defined in claim 1 ,

if appropriate in the presence of a diluent and if appropriate in the presence of a catalyst, or

(β) with carbamoyl chlorides or thiocarbamoyl chlorides of the formula (XX)

in which

L, R 6 and R 7 are each as defined in claim 1 ,

if appropriate in the presence of a diluent and if appropriate in the presence of an acid binder.

3. Compounds of the formula (I) according to claim 1 in which

W represents hydrogen,

X represents C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, C 2 -C 6 -alkenyl or ethinyl,

Y represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, i-propyl, C 2 -C 6 -alkenyl or ethinyl,

Z represents hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, C 2 -C 6 -alkenyl or ethinyl,

with the proviso that at least one of the radicals X, Y and Z represents a chain having at least two carbon atoms,

CKE represents

A represents hydrogen or in each case optionally halogen-substituted C 1 -C 12 -alkyl, C 3 -C 8 -alkenyl, C 1 -C 10 -alkoxy-C 1 -C 8 -alkyl, C 1 -C 10 -alkylthio-C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, optionally halogen-, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl- or C 1 -C 6 -alkoxy-substituted C 3 -C 8 -cycloalkyl in which optionally one or two not directly adjacent ring members are replaced by oxygen and/or sulphur or represents in each case optionally halogen-, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl-, C 1 -C 6 -halogenoalkyl-, C 1 -C 6 -alkoxy-, C 1 -C 6 -halogenoalkoxy-, cyano- or nitro-substituted phenyl or naphthyl, hetaryl having 5 to 6 ring atoms, phenyl-C 1 -C 6 -alkyl or naphthyl-C 1 -C 6 -alkyl,

B represents hydrogen, C 1 -C 12 -alkyl or C 1 -C 8 -alkoxy-C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, or

A, B and the carbon atom to which they are attached represent saturated C 3 -C 10 -cycloalkyl or unsaturated C 5 -C 10 -cycloalkyl in which optionally one ring member is replaced by oxygen or sulphur and which are optionally mono- or disubstituted by C 1 - 8 -alkyl, C 3 -C 10 -cycloalkyl, C 1 -C 8 -halogenoalkyl, C 1 -C 8 -alkoxy, C 1 -C 8 -alkylthio, halogen or phenyl, or

A, B and the carbon atom to which they are attached represent C 3 -C 6 -cycloalkyl which is substituted by an alkylenediyl group which optionally contains one or two not directly adjacent oxygen and/or sulphur atoms and which is optionally C 1 -C 4 -alkyl-substituted, or by an alkylenedioxyl group or by alkenedithioyl group which, together with the carbon atom to which it is attached, forms a further five- to eight-membered ring, or

A, B and the carbon atom to which they are attached represent C 3 -C 8 -cycloalkyl or C 5 -C 8 -cycloalkenyl in which two substituents together with the carbon atoms to which they are attached represent in each case optionally C 1 -C 6 -alkyl-, C 1 -C 6 -alkoxy- or halogen-substituted C 2 -C 6 -alkanediyl, C 2 -C 6 -alkenediyl or C 4 -C 6 alkanedienediyl in which optionally one methylene group is replaced by oxygen or sulphur, or

A and Q 1 together represent C 3 -C 6 -alkanediyl or which is optionally mono- or disubstituted by identical or different substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, hydroxyl, C 1 -C 10 -alkyl, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, C 1 -C 6 -alkylthio, C 3 -C 7 -cycloalkyl, each of which is optionally mono- to trisubstituted by identical or different halogens, and benzyloxy and phenyl, each of which is optionally mono- to trisubstituted by identical or different substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl and C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, and which furthermore optionally contains one of the groups below

or is bridged by a C 1 -C 2 -alkanediyl group or by an oxygen atom, or

Q 1 represents hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 alkyl,

Q2 represents hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 -alkyl,

G represents hydrogen (a) or represents one of the groups

in which

E represents a meal ion equivalent or an ammonium ion,

L represents oxygen or sulphur and

M represents oxygen or sulphur,

R 17 and R 18 independently of one another each represent hydrogen, represent optionally halogen-substituted C 1 -C 8 -alkyl or represent optionally halogen-, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl-, C 1 -C 6 -alkoxy-, C 1 -C 4 -halogenoalkyl-, C 1 -C 4 -halogenoalkoxy-, nitro- or cyano-substituted phenyl, or

R 17 and R 18 together with the carbon atom to which they are attached represent a carbonyl group or represent optionally halogen-, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl- or C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy-substituted C 5 -C 7 -cycloalkyl in which optionally one methylene group is replaced by oxygen or sulphur,

R 19 and R 20 independently of one another each represent C 1 -C 10 -alkyl, C 2 -C 10 alkenyl, C 1 -C 10 -alkoxy, C 1 -C 10 -alkylamino, C 3 -C 10 -alkenylamino, di-(C 1 -C 10 -alkyl)amino or di-(C 3 -C 10 -alkenyl)amino.

4. Compounds of the formula (I) according to claim 1 , wherein

W represents hydrogen,

X represents C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, C 2 -C 4 -alkenyl or ethinyl,

Y represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, i-propyl, C 2 -C 4 -alkenyl or ethinyl,

Z represents hydrogen, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, C 2 -C 4 -alkenyl or ethinyl,

with the proviso that at least one of the radicals W, X, Y or Z represents a chain having at least two carbon atoms, where at most only one of the radicals X, Y or Z may represent C 2 -C 4 -alkenyl or ethinyl,

CKE represents

A represents in each case optionally fluorine- or chlorine-substituted C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy-C 1 -C 2 -alkyl, optionally C 1 -C 2 -alkyl- or C 1 -C 2 -alkoxy-substituted C 3 -C 6 -cycloalkyl or (but not in the case of the compounds of the formulae (I-4), (I-6) and (I-7)) in each case optionally fluorine-, chlorine-, bromine-, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl-, C 1 -C 2 -halogenoalkyl-, C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy-, C 1 -C 2 -halogenoalkoxy-, cyano- or nitro-substituted phenyl or benzyl,

B represents hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, or

A, B and the carbon atom to which they are attached represent saturated or unsaturated C 5 -C 7 -cycloalkyl in which optionally one ring member is replaced by oxygen or sulphur and which is optionally monosubstituted by C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl or C 1 -C 6 -alkoxy, or

A, B and the carbon atom to which they are attached represent C 5 -C 6 -cycloalkyl which is substituted by an alkylenediyl group which optionally contains one or two not directly adjacent oxygen and/or sulphur atoms and which is optionally methyl- or ethyl-substituted, or by an alkylenedioxyl group or by an alkylenedithiol group which, together with the carbon atom to which it is attached, forms a further 5- or 6-membered ring, or

A and Q 1 together represent C 3 -C 4 -alkanediyl which is optionally mono- or disubstituted by identical or different substituents selected from the group consisting of C 1 -C 2 -alkyl and C 1 -C 2 -alkoxy, or

Q 1 represents hydrogen,

Q 2 represents hydrogen,

G represents hydrogen (a) or represents one of the groups

E (f) or

in which

E represents a metal ion equivalent or an ammonium ion,

L represents oxygen or sulphur and

M represents oxygen or sulphur,

R 1 represents in each case optionally fluorine- or chlorine-substituted C 1 -C 8 -alkyl, C 2 -C 8 -alkenyl, C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy-C 1 -C 2 -alkyl, C 1 -C 4 -alkylthio-C 1 -C 2 -alkyl or optionally fluorine-, chlorine-, C 1 -C 2 -alkyl- or C 1 -C 2 -alkoxy-substituted C 3 -C 6 -cycloalkyl in which optionally one or two not directly adjacent ring members are replaced by oxygen,

represents phenyl which is optionally mono- or disubstituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy, C 1 -C 2 -halogenoalkyl or C 1 -C 2 -halogenoalkoxy,

R 2 represents in each case optionally fluorine-substituted C 1 -C 8 -alkyl, C 2 -C 8 -alkenyl or C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy-C 2 -C 4 -alkyl,

represents optionally C1-C2-alkyl- or C1-C2-alkoxy-substituted C3-C6-cycloalkyl or

represents phenyl or benzyl, each of which is optionally monosubstituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, C 1 -C 3 -alkoxy, trifluoromethyl or trifluoromethoxy,

5. Compounds of the formula (I) according to claim 1 , wherein

W represents hydrogen,

X represents methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, iso-propyl, vinyl or ethinyl,

Y represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, i-propyl, vinyl or ethinyl,

Z represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, i-butyl, vinyl or ethinyl,

with the proviso that at least one of the radicals X, Y or Z represents a chain having at least two carbon atoms where at most only one of the radicals X, Y or Z may represent vinyl or ethinyl,

with the proviso that at least one of the radicals X, Y or Z represents a chain having at least two carbon atoms, where at most only one of the radicals X, Y or Z may represent vinyl or ethinyl,

B represents methyl,

A, B and the carbon atoms to which they are attached represent saturated C 5 -C 6 -cycloalkyl in which optionally one ring member is replaced by oxygen and which is optionally monosubstituted by methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy,

7. A pesticide or herbicides that comprises at least one compound of the formula (I) according to claim 1 .

8. A method for controlling animal pests, comprising allowing a compound of the formula (I) according to claim 1 to act on pests and/or their habitat.

9. A method of controlling undesirable vegetation comprising using a compound of formula (I) according to claim 1 .

10. A process for preparing pesticides and herbicides, comprising mixing a compound of the formula (I) according to claim 1 with extenders and/or surfactants.

11. A method of preparing a pesticide or herbicide comprising using of a compound of the formula (I) according to claim 1 .
