Abstract

In an optical disk including at least a rewritable phase change material and comprising a recording layer having a reflectivity of more than 15%, an address output value as an address pit signal component occupying in a reproduced signal in a non recording state is prescribed to be 0.18 though 0.27 or a numerical aperture of an address pit signal occupying in a reproduced signal in a non recording state is prescribed to be more than 0.3.

Claims (13)

1. An optical information recording medium comprising:

a substrate formed with an area having sinusoidally deflected grooves,

a recording layer having reflectivity of more than 15%, and

a transmission layer having a thickness of 0.1 mm,

wherein an area of recording mark on the recording layer to be recorded with information is in a low reflectivity and areas other than said area of recording mark are in a high reflectivity, and

wherein a length of a track pitch of said grooves is 66% of a reproduction spot diameter λ/NA of a laser beam where λ is a wavelength of the laser beam and NA is a numerical aperture of an objective lens.

2. A reproducing method for reproducing an optical information recording medium, said optical information recording medium comprising:

a substrate formed with an area having sinusoidally deflected grooves,

a recording layer having reflectivity of more than 15%, and

a transmission layer having a thickness of 0.1 mm,

wherein an area of recording mark on the recording layer to be recorded with information is in a low reflectivity and areas other than said area of recording mark are in a high reflectivity, and

wherein a length of a track pitch of said grooves is 66% of a reproduction spot diameter λ/NA of a laser beam where λ is a wavelength of the laser beam and NA is a numerical aperture of an objective lens,

wherein said reproducing method reproduces an optical information recording medium by irradiating a laser beam stopped down by an objective lens on said recording layer, through said transmission layer as a light path.
