Abstract

A white light emitting organic electroluminescent element comprising two electrodes having therebetween one or more constituting layers including a light emission layer, the one or more constituting layers comprising at least two phosphorescent compounds, wherein at least one of the phosphorescent compounds is a green light emitting ortho metalated complex; and a spectral ratio of the green light emitting ortho metalated complex in ae emission spectral distribution in a range of 400-800 nm is not less than 60%.

Claims (20)

1. A white light emitting organic electroluminescent element comprising two electrodes having therebetween one or more constituting layers including a light emission layer, the one or more constituting layers comprising at least two phosphorescent compounds, wherein

at least one of the phosphorescent compounds is a green light emitting ortho metalated complex; and

a spectral ratio of the green light emitting ortho metalated complex in an emission spectral distribution in a range of 400-800 nm is not less than 60%, wherein

at least one of the phosphorescent compounds is a blue light emitting ortho metalated complex; and

a shortest emission peak wavelength of the blue light emitting ortho metalated complex is not more than 455 nm, wherein

the blue light emitting ortho metalated complex has a substructure represented by Formula (3) or a tautomer of the substructure represented by Formula (3):

wherein, Z31 is an atomic group necessary to form an aromatic hydrocarbon ring; X 31 is —N(R 3 )—, and X 32 and X 33 each are —C(R 3 )—, wherein R 3 is a hydrogen atom or a substituent, provided that, when one of X 32 and X 33 has a substituent as R 3 , the other has a hydrogen atom as R 3 ; C 31 is a carbon atom; M 31 is a metal belonging to one of Groups 8 to 10 of the periodic table; and a bond between C 31 and N, and a bond between X 32 and X 33 each are a double bond,

wherein the light emission layer or a layer adjacent to the light emission layer comprises a compound represented by Formula (33):

wherein, Z 1 is an aromatic heterocyclic ring which may have a substituent; Z 2 is an aromatic heterocyclic ring or an aromatic hydrocarbon ring each of which may have a substituent; and Z 3 is a divalent linkage group or a single bonding arm; and R 101 is a hydrogen mom or a substituent,

wherein the compound represented by Formula (33) further has at least one of the groups represented by Formulas (34-1)-(34-4) and (34-7)-(34-8):

wherein, R 502 -R 507 , R 512 -R 517 , R 522 -R 527 , R 532 -R 537 , R 562 -R 567 and R 572 -R 577 each independently are a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and the substituents may be the same with each other or may be different.

2. The white light emitting organic electroluminescent element of claim 1 , wherein the compound represented by Formula (33) is represented by Formula (33-3):

wherein, R 521 -R 527 each independently are a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
