Automatic analyzer
View Patent ↗According to one embodiment, an automatic analyzer includes a reaction disc, cleaning mechanism, and cover. The reaction disc holds a cuvette which contains a sample and a reagent. The cleaning mechanism is configured to clean the cuvette using a nozzle. The cover is configured to be movable along an axis of the nozzle and to cover an opening of the cuvette.
1. An automatic analyzer comprising:
a reaction disc configured to hold plural cuvettes including a particular cuvette which contains a sample and a reagent;
a cleaning mechanism configured to clean the particular cuvette using a nozzle with washing water;
a cover configured to be movable along an axis of the nozzle independent of the nozzle and to cover an opening of the particular cuvette;
a photometry mechanism configured to irradiate the particular cuvette pivoted by the reaction disc with light, and to convert light transmitted through a sample and a reagent into an absorbency to generate measurement data;
and
a controller configured to:
determine whether a reaction time for individual ones of said plural cuvettes is to be extended and to independently control the nozzle and cover of respective of said plural cuvettes, in accordance with whether it is determined that the reaction time of a particular cuvettes is to be extended or not, and
move, when it is determined that the reaction time set to the particular cuvette is to be extended, the cover downward along the axis of the nozzle so as to make the cover close the opening of the particular cuvette, and also inhibit part of the nozzle including a distal end of the nozzle from entering the particular cuvette, and
move, when it is determined that the reaction time set to the particular cuvette is not to be extended, the cover and nozzle downward along the axis to make the cover close the opening and to cause the part of the nozzle to enter the particular cuvette and clean the particular cuvette with washing water.
2. The automatic analyzer according to claim 1 , wherein:
when it is determined that the reaction time set to the cuvette is to be extended, the controller is configured not to move the cover and the nozzle downward while the plurality of cuvettes are rotating by the response disc and to move the cover downward while the plurality of the cuvettes are stopped by the response disc, and
when it is determined that the reaction time set to the cuvette is not to be extended, the controller is configured not to move the cover and the nozzle downward while the plurality of cuvettes are rotating by the response disc and to move the cover and the nozzle downward while the plurality of cuvettes are stopped by the response disc.
