Load support structure
View Patent ↗A load support member includes spaced apart beam members, a linking member and a stop member. In another aspect, the beam includes a support surface defining first and second landing regions, which are in contact with and support a membrane. In another aspect, a brace member is secured between laterally spaced beams, with the brace member having a greater height than width at the end thereof and a greater width than height at the middle thereof. In another aspect, a pair of armrests are joined to a cross member and a pair of spaced apart beams in a releasable engagement. In yet another aspect, a pair of beam members are fixedly joined with a cross member, which is pivotally connected to a link pivotally connected to the beams. A method of assembling a load support structure is also provided.
1. A seating structure comprising:
a pair of upwardly extending and laterally spaced uprights, each of said uprights comprising a cavity having a first mouth opening laterally inwardly on a first side of said upright and a second mouth opening laterally outwardly opposite said first mouth on a second side of said of said upright opposite said first side;
a cross member extending between said uprights and comprising opposite end portions received in said first mouths of said uprights;
a pair of armrests, each of said armrests having an insert portion received in one of said second mouths of said uprights and extending laterally outwardly from said cross member away from said second side of said upright, said insert portion releasably secured to one of said end portions of said cross member.
2. The seating structure of claim 1 wherein said insert portions and said cross member are substantially parallel.
3. The seating structure of claim 2 wherein each of said armrests comprises an arm support portion extending substantially perpendicular to said insert portion.
