WIRELESSLY POWERED SPEAKER
Described herein are embodiments of a transmitter that includes a modulation circuit configured to modulate a power carrier signal with an information signal to form a modulated signal; and a high-Q resonator configured to couple with a high-Q resonator of a receiver, wherein the resonator is configured to transmit the modulated signal wirelessly to the resonator of the receiver.
1 . A transmitter comprising:
a modulation circuit configured to modulate a power carrier signal with an information signal to form a modulated signal; and
a high-Q resonator configured to couple with a high-Q resonator of a receiver, wherein the resonator is configured to transmit the modulated signal wirelessly to the resonator of the receiver.
2 . The transmitter of claim 1 , further comprising: an electrical structure operably connected to the resonator, wherein the electrical structure is configured to optimize power delivery of the drive circuit to the resonator.
3 . A receiver comprising:
a high-Q resonator configured to:
couple with a high-Q resonator of a transmitter; and
receive a modulated signal wirelessly from the transmitter, wherein the modulated signal comprises a power carrier signal and an information signal.
4 . The receiver of claim 3 , further comprising: a circuit configured to receive an information signal, a power signal, or both.
5 . The receiver of claim 3 , further comprising: an electrical structure operably connected to the resonator, wherein the electrical structure is configured to optimize power delivery between a circuit and an electrical structure of the resonator.
6 . The receiver of claim 4 , wherein the power signal powers one or more of the following: an amplifier, a display, a power control circuit associated with the receiver, a battery charging circuit, and an independent wireless communication system.
7 . A method comprising:
coupling a high-Q resonator of a transmitter and a high-Q resonator of a receiver;
modulating a power carrier signal with an information signal to form a modulated signal; and
transmitting the modulated signal wirelessly from the high-Q resonator of the transmitter to the high-Q resonator of the receiver.
8 . A method comprising:
coupling a high-Q resonator of a receiver and a high-Q resonator of a transmitter; and
receiving a modulated signal wirelessly from the transmitter, wherein the modulated signal comprises a power carrier signal and an information signal.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising: receiving the modulated signal to output an information signal, a power signal, or both.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the power signal powers one or more of the following: an amplifier, a display, a power control circuit associated with the receiver, a battery charging circuit, and an independent wireless communication system.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the modulated signal comprises the power carrier signal and an encoded information signal.
12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising: receiving the modulated signal to output an encoded information signal, a power signal, or both.
13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising: receiving the information signal.
