Abstract

The present invention relates to active compound combinations, in particular within a fungicide composition, which comprises (A) a dithiino-tetracarboximide of formula (I) and a metal salt (B). Moreover, the invention relates to a method for curatively or preventively controlling the phytopathogenic fungi of plants or crops, to the use of a combination according to the invention for the treatment of seed, to a method for protecting a seed and not at least to the treated seed. In particular the combinations according to the invention are useful to obtain plants with greener leaf color.

Claims (29)

1 . A composition comprising

(A) at least one compound of formula (I)

in which

R 1 and R 2 are identical and represent methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, or isopropyl, and n represents 0 or 1,

or an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof, and

(B) at least one metal salt selected from

calcium salts, magnesium salts,

aluminum salts, tin salts, lead salts,

chromium salts, manganese salts, iron salts, cobalt salts, nickel salts, copper salts, or zinc salts.

2 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the compound of the formula (I) is 2,6-dimethyl-1H,5H-[1,4]dithiino[2,3-c:5,6-c′]dipyrrole-1,3,5,7(2H,6H)-tetrone.

3 . The composition of claim 1 , further comprising auxiliaries, solvents, carriers, surfactant, extenders, or combinations thereof.

4 . A method for controlling phytopathogenic fungi comprising applying an effective amount of the composition of claim 1 to seed, plant or plant parts, the habitat of plants, the surroundings of plants, the storage space of plants, or a combination thereof.

5 . A method for controlling phytopathogenic fungi comprising applying an effective amount of the composition of claim 1 to a plant, the fruits of the plants, the soil surrounding the plant, or a combination thereof.

6 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the effective amount is 0.1 to 10 000 g/ha and the composition is applied to plant parts.

7 . (canceled)

8 . A method for controlling phytopathogenic fungi, comprising applying an effective amount of a composition of claim 1 to seed, seed of transgenic plants, or transgenic plants.

9 . (canceled)

10 . A method of treating plants in need of better growth, increased harvest yields, a better developed root system, a larger leaf area, greener leaves, stronger shoots, or combinations thereof, comprising applying to said plants the composition of claim 1 .

11 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the effective amount is 2 to 200 g per 100 kg of seed and the composition is applied to seed.

12 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the effective amount is 0.1 to 10,000 g/ha and the composition is applied to the soil surrounding the plant.

13 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the metal salt is calcium sulphate, magnesium sulphate, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, aluminum sulphate, tin sulphate, lead sulphate aluminum chloride, tin chloride, lead chloride, chromium sulphate, manganese sulphate, iron sulphate, cobalt sulphate, nickel sulphate, copper sulphate, zinc sulphate, chromium chloride, manganese chloride, iron chloride, cobalt chloride, nickel chloride, copper chloride, or zinc chloride.

14 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the metal salt is calcium sulphate, magnesium sulphate, aluminum sulphate, tin sulphate, lead sulphate, chromium sulphate, manganese sulphate, iron sulphate, cobalt sulphate, nickel sulphate, copper sulphate, or zinc sulphate.

15 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the metal salt is magnesium sulphate, manganese sulphate, iron sulphate, or zinc sulphate.

16 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the compound of formula (I) is

2,6-dimethyl-1H,5H-[1,4]dithiino[2,3-c:5,6-c′]dipyrrole-1,3,5,7(2H,6H)-tetrone,

2,6-diethyl-1H,5H-[1,4]dithiino[2,3-c:5,6-c′]dipyrrole-1,3,5,7(2H,6H)-tetrone,

2,6-dipropyl-1H,5H-[1,4]dithiino[2,3-c:5,6-c′]dipyrrole-1,3,5,7(2H,6H)-tetrone,

2,6-diisopropyl-1H,5H-[1,4]dithiino[2,3-c:5,6-c′]dipyrrole-1,3,5,7(2H,6H)-tetrone, or

2,6-dimethyl-1H,5H-[1,4]dithiino[2,3-c:5,6-c′]dipyrrole-1,3,5,7(2H,6H)-tetrone 4-oxide.
