TREATMENT OF DISEASES AND CONDITIONS MEDIATED BY INCREASED PHOSPHORYLATION
The invention provides methods for the treatment of diseases and conditions mediated by increased phosphorylation, such as inflammation and cancer. The invention also provides methods for the inhibition of increased phosphorylation in cells, tissues and organs. The methods utilize a phosphate acceptor compound (PAC). The invention also provides products comprising a PAC.

183 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising a phosphate acceptor compound (PAC) and a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier, wherein the PAC is a casein or a fragment thereof which is at least partially dephosphorylated.
184 . The composition of claim 183 wherein the casein is an α-casein, a β-casein, a γ-casein, a κ-casein, a fragment of one of the foregoing, or a combination of one or more of the foregoing.
185 . The composition of claim 184 wherein the casein is an α S1 -casein or a fragment thereof.
186 . The composition of any one of claims 183 - 185 wherein the composition is formulated for topical administration.
187 . The composition of claim 186 which is drops, a spray, an aerosol or an inhalant.
