Abstract

A buffer generates a load drive voltage by impedance-converting an input signal and outputs the generated load drive voltage to a load circuit. An input level controller controls a voltage of the input signal to be a boost voltage having a potential higher than that of a targeted drive voltage of the load drive voltage during a certain period in an initial stage where the voltage of the input signal is changed, and controls the voltage of the input signal to be the targeted drive voltage during the period other than the certain period in the initial stage of the voltage change.

34 . A drive voltage control device, comprising:

a buffer for driving a load circuit by inputting a predetermined drive voltage for a load drive; and

a boost circuit for supplying a boost voltage having a higher potential than a power supply voltage to a signal line between an output terminal of the buffer and the load circuit in an initial stage where the load circuit is driven.

35 . The drive voltage control device as claimed in claim 34 , wherein

the boost circuit comprises:

a control switch inserted between the signal line and a power supply of the boost voltage; and

a controller for switching on the control switch in an initial stage of voltage change and then switching off the control switch.

36 . The drive voltage control device as claimed in claim 35 , wherein

the controller comprises a comparator configured to switch on the control switch in the case where a potential of the signal line fails to reach a predetermined reference voltage and switch off the control switch when the potential of the signal line reaches the predetermined reference voltage.

37 . The drive voltage control device as claimed in claim 34 , wherein

the boost circuit comprises a capacity charged with a boost potential before the load circuit is driven.

38 . The drive voltage control device as claimed in claim 34 , wherein

the boost circuit comprises:

a capacity inserted between the signal line and ground;

an input selector circuit for inputting the boost potential to the buffer to charge the capacity; and

a switch for making an inversion input terminal of the buffer be short-circuited to the ground to charge the capacity and making an output of the buffer be supplied to an input of the buffer as a feedback.

39 . A drive voltage control device, comprising:

a first buffer for supplying a load drive voltage to a load circuit by impedance-converting an input signal;

a second buffer for supplying a boost voltage having a higher potential than a power supply voltage to the load circuit;

a smoothening capacitor inserted between ground and a junction point at which output terminals of the first buffer and the second buffer are connected to each other;

an output control switch interposed between the smoothening capacitor and the load circuit; and

a timing controller for timing-controlling the operations of the output control switch, the first buffer, and the second buffer, the timing controller suspending the operation of the first buffer and making the second buffer operate with the output control switch being switched off in an initial stage of voltage change and then switching on the output control switch in response to a display timing, the timing controller thereafter making the first buffer operate and suspending the operation of the second buffer.

40 . A drive voltage control device, comprising:

a buffer for supplying a load drive voltage to a load circuit by impedance-converting an input signal;

a timing control switch and an output control switch inserted between an output terminal of the buffer and the load circuit;

a boost control switch interposed between a junction point at which the timing control switch and the output control switch are connected to each other and a power supply of a boost voltage having a higher potential than a power supply voltage;

a smoothening capacitor inserted between ground and the junction point at which the timing control switch and the output control switch are connected to each other; and

a timing controller for controlling the boost control switch, the output control switch, and the timing control switch, the timing controller switching on the output control switch and switching on the boost control switch for a certain period of time with the timing control switch being switched off in an initial stage of voltage change and then switching off the output control switch and the boost control switch, the timing controller thereafter switching on the timing control switch.

41 . A drive voltage control device, comprising:

a buffer for supplying a load drive voltage to a load circuit by impedance-converting an input signal;

a smoothening capacitor inserted between ground and an output terminal of the buffer;

a boost control switch inserted between the output terminal of the buffer and a power supply of a boost voltage having a higher potential than a power supply voltage,

an output control switch interposed between the smoothening capacitor and the load circuit; and

a timing controller for timing-controlling the operations of the output control switch, the boost control switch, and the buffer, the timing controller switching on the boost control switch with the output control switch being switched off and rendering an output of the buffer in a high-impedance state in an initial stage of voltage change, the timing controller thereafter switching on the output control switch, switching off the boost control switch, and making the buffer operate.
