Abstract

A wellness application for a personal wearable data-capable band is described, including an aggregation engine configured to aggregate user activity data from a plurality of sources, the aggregation engine comprising one or more modules configured to process the user activity data to determine an aggregate value, and a user interface configured to display a graphical representation using the aggregate value.

Claims (36)

1 . A system for executing a wellness application, comprising:

an aggregation engine implemented using a processor configured to aggregate user activity data from a plurality of sources comprising one or more sensors, the aggregation engine comprising one or more modules configured to process the user activity data to determine an aggregate value, the one or more modules comprising a conversion module in data communication with the aggregation engine, the conversion module being configured to compare the user activity data with a reference activity having an assigned value, to determine a plurality of values associated with the user activity data using the assigned value and a comparison of the user activity data with the reference activity, and to generate the aggregate value using an aggregation of the plurality of values associated with a plurality of activities, the aggregate value being associated with a graphical representation of wellness; and

a user interface configured to show on a display the graphical representation.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of sources comprises a plurality of sensors.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of sources comprises a manual input.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the user activity data is associated with at least one instance of an activity, and the one or more modules is configured to assign a value to the at least one instance of an activity.

5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the user activity data further is associated with another instance of the activity, and the one or more modules is configured to assign another value to the another instance of the activity.

6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the one or more modules further is configured to aggregate the value with the another value to determine an aggregate value.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the user activity data comprises data gathered over an extended time period.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the aggregate value comprises an accumulation of values generated over a time period.

9 . (canceled)

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the user interface is configured to be accessed using a wireless device,

11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the user interface is configured to be accessed using a web browser,

12 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising an incentive engine configured to provide an incentive associated with the user activity data,

13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the incentive is a social accolade.

14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the incentive is a physical reward.

15 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the incentive is a virtual reward.

16 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the incentive is a monetary reward.

17 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the incentive engine determines the incentive based upon a value assigned to at least one instance of an activity associated with the user activity data.

18 . A method, comprising:

receiving activity data from a source comprising a sensor;

receiving another activity data from another source comprising another sensor;

processing the activity data and the another activity data using an aggregation engine implemented by a processor and in data communication with the source and the another source to determine an aggregate value, the aggregation engine comprising a conversion module configured to compare a reference activity having an assigned value with the activity data and the another activity data, to determine a plurality of values associated with the activity data and the another activity data using the assigned value and a comparison of the reference activity with the activity data and the another activity data, and to generate the aggregate value using an aggregation of the plurality of values associated with a plurality of activities, the aggregate value being associated with a graphical representation of wellness;

generating the graphical representation using the aggregate value; and

displaying the graphical representation using a user interface configured to show the graphical representation on a display.

19 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising:

receiving a plurality of activity data from a plurality of sources over a period of time, at least one of the plurality of sources comprising a sensor;

processing the plurality of activity data to determine an updated aggregate value;

regenerating the graphical representation using the updated aggregate value; and

updating on the display the graphical representation.

20 . A non-transitory computer readable medium including instructions for performing a method, the method comprising:

receiving activity data from a source comprising a sensor;

receiving another activity data from another source comprising another sensor;

processing the activity data and the another activity data using an aggregation engine implemented by a processor and in data communication with the source and the another source to determine an aggregate value, the aggregation engine comprising a conversion module configured to compare a reference activity having an assigned value with the activity data and the another activity data, to determine a plurality of values associated with the activity data and the another activity data using the assigned value and a comparison of the reference activity with the activity data and the another activity data, and to generate the aggregate value using an aggregation of the plurality of values associated with a plurality of activities, the aggregate value being associated with a graphical representation of wellness;

generating the graphical representation using the aggregate value; and

displaying the graphical representation using a user interface configured to show the graphical representation on a display.
