Abstract

ABT-263 free base and crystalline forms thereof are suitable active pharmaceutical ingredients for pharmaceutical compositions useful in treatment of a disease characterized by overexpression of one or more anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family proteins, for example cancer.

Claims (2)

1. The compound N-(4-(4-((2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5,5-dimethyl-1-cyclohex-1-en-1-yl)methyl)piperazin-1-yl)benzoyl)-4-(((1R)-3-(morpholin-4-yl)-1-((phenylsulfanyl)methyl)propyl)amino)-3-((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)benzenesulfonamide free base in a solid crystalline Form II, characterized at least by a powder X-ray diffraction peak at any one or more of the following positions: 5.79, 8.60, 12.76, 15.00 and 20.56°2θ, ±0.2°2θ.

2. A process for preparing a pharmaceutical solution composition of ABT-263, comprising dissolving the compound of claim 1 in a pharmaceutically acceptable solvent or mixture of solvents.
