Abstract

A novel crystal of (R)-2-[[[3-methyl-4-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-2-pyridinyl]methyl]sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole or a salt thereof of the present invention is useful for an excellent antiulcer agent.

8 . A crystal of (R)-2-[[[3-methyl-4-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-2-pyridinyl]methyl]sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole or a salt thereof which can retain a content exceeding 90% for up to 4 weeks when it is stored at 60° C. (exposed).

9 . A pharmaceutical composition which comprises the crystal of claim 8 , and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, carrier or diluent.

10 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 , which is in a form selected from granules, capsules or orally disintegrating tablets.
