Abstract

A light-emitting material comprises iridium and at least one ligand represented by the following formula: wherein R 11 and R 12 each represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, an alkoxy group, a cyano group or a cyclic structure obtained by connection of one of a plurality of R 11 s to another of said plurality of R 11 s, or one of a plurality of R 12 s to another of said plurality of R 12 s, or one of the R 11 s to one of the R 12 s; m 1 represents an integer from 0 to 4; m 2 represents an integer from 0 to 6.

Claims (31)

1. A light-emitting material comprising iridium and at least one ligand represented by the following formula:

wherein

R 11 and R 12 each represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, an alkoxy group, a cyano group or a cyclic structure obtained by connection of one of a plurality of R 11 s to another of said plurality of R 11 s, or one of a plurality of R 12 s to another of said plurality of R 12 s, or one of the R 11 s to one of the R 12 s;

m 1 represents an integer from 0 to 4;

m 2 represents an integer from 0 to 6.

2. The light-emitting material according to claim 1 wherein each of R 11 and R 12 is an alkyl group.

3. The light-emitting material according to claim 1 further comprising a diketone ligand.

4. The light-emitting material according to claim 2 , wherein m 1 represents an integer of from 0 to 2.

5. The light-emitting material according to claim 2 , wherein m 2 represents an integer of from 0 to 2.

6. The light-emitting material according to claim 4 , wherein m 2 represents an integer of from 0 to 2.

7. The light-emitting material according to claim 1 wherein R 11 is an alkyl group of 1 to 10 carbon atoms.
