ASSESSING DEMAND FOR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Concepts for new/different products, services, or bundles of products and/or services are tested using discrete choice modeling, and, in some instances a combination of discrete choice modeling and monadic concept testing. In one embodiment, monadic and discrete choice data are gathered at the same time and combined. Discrete choice modeling data is then used to generate specific diagnostic information, and a web-enabled interface facilitates choices among the concepts.
1 . A computer-implemented method for predicting market success of an offering, the method comprising:
receiving, from a physical, non-volatile data storage device, a first set of market research data regarding the offering, the first set being based on one or more discrete choice data collection surveys;
receiving, from the physical, non-volatile data storage device, a second set of market research data regarding the offering, the second set being based on one or more monadic data collection surveys; and
using a processor, executing stored computer executable instructions to (i) calibrate the first set of market research with the second set of market research based on commonalities among participants in the discrete choice data collection surveys and the monadic data collection surveys and (ii) model the participants predicted affinity for the offering based on the calibrated data.
