Abstract

The present invention is related to a conditioning composition for hair comprising at least one hair conditioning agent and at least one dipeptide. At least one hair conditioning agent is a compound according to general structure R 1 -A-R 2 —B wherein R 1 is a saturated or unsaturated, straight or branched alkyl group with 8 to 24 C atoms, R 2 is a straight or branched alkyl group with 1 to 4 C atoms, A is a group selected from O, , preferably an O and B is selected from wherein R 3 and R 4 are the same or different is H or an alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms, hydroxyl alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms and di hydroxyl alkyl with 2 to 4 C atoms, R 5 , and R 6 are the same or different, an alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms, hydroxyl alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms and di hydroxyl alkyl with 2 to 4 C atoms, R 7 is an alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms, hydroxyl alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms or di hydroxyl alkyl with 2 to 4 C atoms and R 2 -A-R 1 wherein R 1 , A and R 2 have the above meaning and X is chloride, bromide, methosulfate, and at least one dipeptide.

Claims (26)

1 . Conditioning composition for hair comprising at least one hair conditioning agent selected from compounds according to general structure

R 1 -A-R 2 —B

wherein R 1 is a saturated or unsaturated, straight or branched alkyl group with 8 to 24 C atoms, R 2 is a straight or branched alkyl group with 1 to 4 C atoms, A is a group selected from O,

and B is selected from

wherein R 3 and R 4 are the same or different is H or an alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms, hydroxyl alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms and di hydroxyl alkyl with 2 to 4 C atoms,

R 5 , and R 6 are the same or different, an alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms, hydroxyl alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms and di hydroxyl alkyl with 2 to 4 C atoms, R 7 is an alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms, hydroxyl alkyl with 1 to 4 C atoms or di hydroxyl alkyl with 2 to 4 C atoms and

R 2 -A-R 1

wherein R 1 , A and R 2 have the above meaning and X is chloride, bromide, methosulfate, and at least one dipeptide.

2 . The composition according to claim 1 wherein at least one dipeptide is selected from synthetic or natural ones.

3 . Composition The composition according to claim 1 , wherein at least one hair conditioning agent selected from compounds according to general structure at a concentration in the range of 0.01 to 20% by weight, calculated to total composition.

The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the amino acid moeties of dipeptide are selected from arginine, tyrosine, valine, tryptophan, alanine, cysteine, glycine, lysine, proline, hydroxyproline and histidine and preferably contains two different amino acid moieties when one of the amino acid moieties is glycine and more preferably both amino acid moieties are of different amino acids.

5 . The composition according to claim 1 , comprising at least one dipeptide at a concentration of 0.01 to 5% by weight calculated to total composition.

6 . Composition The composition according to claim 1 , wherein at least one dipeptide is selected from Dipeptide-1, Dipeptide-2, Dipeptide-3, Dipeptide-4, Dipeptide-5, Dipeptide-6, Dipeptide-7, Dipeptide-8, and carnosine.

7 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein at least one dipeptide is carnosine.

8 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein it comprises additional hair conditioning agent selected from cationic surfactants according to general structure

where R 10 is a saturated or unsaturated, branched or non-branched alkyl chain with 8-24 C atoms, preferably 10 to 24 C atoms and more preferably 12 to 22 C atoms, and R 11 is unsaturated or saturated, branched or non-branched alkyl chain with 1-24 C atoms and R 12 and R 13 are lower alkyl chain with 1 to 4 carbon atoms which may be substituted with one or more hydroxyl groups, and X is anion such as chloride, bromide, methosulfate, cationic polymers, oil and/or oily substances and polyols.

9 . The composition according to claim 8 , wherein oil and/or oily substances selected from silicone oils, fatty alcohol ethers (dialkyl ether), fatty acid fatty alcohol esters.

10 . The composition according to claim 8 , wherein it comprises at least one direct dye.

11 . The composition according to claim 8 , wherein it comprises at least one fatty alcohol of the following formula

R 20 —OH

where R 20 is a saturated or unsaturated, branched or non-branched fatty acyl chain with 8-24 C atoms and optionally at least one nonionic surfactant as an emulsifier.

12 . The composition according to claim 8 m, wherein it comprise one or more of compounds selected from protein hyrolyzate, polyphenol, ubichinone of the general structure

where n is a number between 1 and 10, UV filter, organic solvent, thickening agent and chelating agent.

13 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein it has a pH in the range of 2.0 to 8.0.

15 . The kit for hair two or more products wherein at least one product comprises a composition according to claim 1 .
