Abstract

An information processing apparatus including an interface that displays an object and receives an instruction to change a display scale of the object, and a processor that controls the interface to change the display scale of the object based on the received instruction, controls the interface to stop changing the display scale of the displayed object for a predetermined period of time when the display scale of the displayed object becomes a predetermined display scale, and controls the interface to resume changing the display scale of the displayed object upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

Claims (35)

1. An information processing apparatus, comprising:

an interface configured to display an object and to receive an instruction to change a display scale of the object; and

a processor configured to control the interface to change the display scale of the object based on the received instruction, control the interface to stop changing the display scale of the displayed object for a predetermined period of time when the display scale of the displayed object becomes a predetermined display scale, and control the interface to resume changing the display scale of the displayed object upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to, while the instruction is continuously received at the interface, control the interface to change the display scale of the object based on the received instruction, control the interface to stop changing the display scale of the displayed object for the predetermined period of time when the display scale of the displayed object becomes the predetermined display scale, and control the interface to resume changing the display scale of the displayed object upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the interface includes a touch panel, and the instruction to change the display scale of the object is a dragging operation performed by a user detected by the touch panel.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the interface includes a touch panel, and the instruction to change the display scale of the object is a press operation performed by a user detected by the touch panel.

5. The information processing apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the processor is configured to control the interface to linearly change the display scale of the object according to the received instruction, control the interface to stop changing the display scale of the displayed object for the predetermined period of time when the display scale of the displayed object becomes the predetermined display scale, and control the interface to resume linearly changing the display scale of the displayed object upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

6. The information processing apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the processor is configured to control the interface to gradually decrease an amount that the display scale changes as the display scale of the object approaches the predetermined display scale, control the interface to stop changing the display scale of the displayed object for the predetermined period of time when the display scale of the displayed object becomes the predetermined display scale, and control the interface to resume gradually increasing an amount that the display scale changes as the display scale of the object departs from the predetermined display scale upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

7. The information processing apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to detect an image of a face in the displayed object, and set, as the predetermined display scale, a display scale of the image at which an outline of the image of the face reaches an edge portion of the interface.

8. A method performed by an information processing apparatus, the method comprising:

displaying, by an interface of the information processing apparatus, an object;

receiving, by the interface, an instruction to change a display scale of the object; and

controlling, by a processor of the information processing apparatus, the interface to change the display scale of the object based on the received instruction, to stop changing the display scale of the displayed object for a predetermined period of time when the display scale of the displayed object becomes a predetermined display scale, and to resume changing the display scale of the displayed object upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

9. A non-transitory computer-readable medium including computer-program instructions, which when executed by an information processing apparatus, cause the information processing apparatus to perform a method comprising:

displaying an object on an interface of the information processing apparatus;

receiving, at the interface, an instruction to change a display scale of the object; and

controlling the interface to change the display scale of the object based on the received instruction, to stop changing the display scale of the displayed object for a predetermined period of time when the display scale of the displayed object becomes a predetermined display scale, and to resume changing the display scale of the displayed object upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

10. An information processing apparatus, comprising:

a reproduction section configured to reproduce content;

an interface configured to receive an instruction to change a reproduction speed of the reproduced content; and

a processor configured to control the reproduction section to change the reproduction speed of the content based on the received instruction, control the interface to stop changing the reproduction speed of the content for a predetermined period of time when the reproduction speed of the content becomes a predetermined reproduction speed, and control the reproduction section to resume changing the reproduction speed of the content upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

11. The information processing apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the processor is configured to, while the instruction is continuously received at the interface, control the reproduction section to change the reproduction speed of the content based on the received instruction, control the reproduction section to stop changing the reproduction speed of the content for the predetermined period of time when the reproduction speed of the content becomes the predetermined reproduction speed, and control the interface to resume changing the reproduction speed of the content upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

12. The information processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the interface includes a touch panel, and the instruction to change the reproduction speed of the content is a dragging operation performed by a user detected by the touch panel.

13. The information processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the interface includes a touch panel, and the instruction to change the reproduction speed of the content is a press operation performed by a user detected by the touch panel.

14. The information processing apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the processor is configured to control the reproduction section to linearly change the reproduction speed of the content according to the received instruction, control the reproduction section to stop changing the reproduction speed of the content for the predetermined period of time when the reproduction speed of the content becomes the predetermined reproduction speed, and control the interface to resume linearly changing the reproduction speed of the content upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

15. The information processing apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the processor is configured to control the reproduction section to gradually decrease an amount that the reproduction speed changes as the reproduction speed of the content approaches the predetermined reproduction speed, control the reproduction section to stop changing the reproduction speed of the content for the predetermined period of time when the reproduction speed of the content becomes the predetermined reproduction speed, and control the interface to resume gradually increasing an amount that the reproduction speed changes as the reproduction speed departs from the predetermined reproduction speed upon determining that the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

16. The information processing apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the processor is configured to set, as the predetermined reproduction speed, a normal reproduction speed of the content.

17. A method performed by an information processing apparatus, the method comprising:

reproducing content by a reproduction section of the information processing apparatus;

receiving, by an interface of the information processing apparatus, an instruction to change a reproduction speed of the content; and
