PAYMENT SYSTEM WITH TIME RESTRICTIONS

1 . A method for restricting a payment from an account based on a time, comprising:

receiving a request to make a payment using an account of a user over a network;

determining whether at least one payment time restriction exists for the account, wherein the at least one payment time restriction includes at least one authorized payment time or at least one unauthorized payment time for making payments using the account;

determining a current time; and

authorizing or denying the request based, at least partly, on whether the current time is included in the at least one authorized payment time or the at least one unauthorized payment time.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the authorizing or denying the request further comprises:

holding the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or determining that the current time is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time;

sending a confirmation request to the user device over the network;

receiving a response to the confirmation request from the user device over the network; and

authorizing or denying the request based on the response.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the confirmation request includes an email to the user device.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving the at least one payment time restriction for the account from a user device over the network, wherein the at least one payment time restriction includes the at least one authorized payment time or the at least one unauthorized payment time for making payments using the account;

associating the at least one payment time restriction with the account in a database.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the authorizing or denying the request further comprises:

denying the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or determining that the current time is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time.

6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

sending a denied payment request message to the user device over the network in response to denying the request.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the authorizing or denying the request further comprises:

authorizing the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time and the request to make the payment is a reoccurring request.

8 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising a plurality of machine-readable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, are adapted to cause the one or more processors to perform a method comprising:

receiving a request to make a payment using an account of a user over a network;

determining whether at least one payment time restriction exists for the account, wherein the at least one payment time restriction includes at least one authorized payment time or at least one unauthorized payment time for making payments using the account;

determining a current time; and

authorizing or denying the request based, at least partly, on whether the current time is included in the at least one authorized payment time or the at least one unauthorized payment time.

9 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the method further comprises:

holding the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or determining that the current time is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time;

sending a confirmation request to the user device over the network;

receiving a response to the confirmation request from the user device over the network; and

authorizing or denying the request based on the response.

10 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the confirmation request includes an email to the user device.

11 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , the method further comprises:

receiving the at least one payment time restriction for the account from a user device over the network, wherein the at least one payment time restriction includes the at least one authorized payment time or the at least one unauthorized payment time for making payments using the account;

associating the at least one payment time restriction with the account in a database.

12 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the authorizing or denying the request further comprises:

denying the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or determining that the current time is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time.

13 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the method further comprises:

sending a denied payment request message to the user device over the network in response to denying the request.

14 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the authorizing or denying the request further comprises:

authorizing the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time and the request to make the payment is a reoccurring request.

15 . A payment system based on a time, comprising:

means for receiving a request to make a payment using an account of a user;

means for determining whether at least one payment time restriction exists for the account, wherein the at least one payment time restriction includes at least one authorized payment time or at least one unauthorized payment time for making payments using the account;

means for determining a current time; and

means for authorizing or denying the request based, at least partly, on whether the current time is included in the at least one authorized payment time or the at least one unauthorized payment time.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the means for authorizing or denying the request further comprises:

means for holding the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or determining that the current time is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time;

means sending a confirmation request;

means for receiving a response to the confirmation request; and

means for authorizing or denying the request based on the response.

17 . The system of claim 15 , further comprising:

means for receiving the at least one payment time restriction for the account, wherein the at least one payment time restriction includes the at least one authorized payment time or the at least one unauthorized payment time for making payments using the account;

means for associating the at least one payment time restriction with the account.

18 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the means for authorizing or denying the request further comprises:

means for denying the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or determining that the current time is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time.

19 . The system of claim 18 , further comprising:

means for sending a denied payment request message to the user device over the network in response to denying the request.

20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the means for authorizing or denying the request further comprises:

means for authorizing the request to make the payment in response to determining that the current time is not included in the at least one authorized payment time or is included in the at least one unauthorized payment time and the request to make the payment is a reoccurring request.
