Abstract

Computational methods and systems are described which accept input, identify one or more CYP450-family enzymes, identify one or more modulators of the CYP450-family enzymes, and communicate treatments to at least one system user, wherein the treatments include one or more of the identified at least one modulator.

Claims (88)

1. A method comprising:

accepting input that specifies an individual;

accepting input that identifies a drug therapy associated with the individual;

identifying at least one first CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of the drug therapy associated with the individual;

identifying at least one second CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of the drug therapy associated with the individual;

identifying at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme;

identifying at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme; and

invoking circuitry for communicating one or more treatment to a system user, wherein the treatment includes one or more of the identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme and one or more of the identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the individual is a representative individual.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the drug therapy associated with the individual includes at least one of: a statin therapy, an acetominophen therapy, a cancer chemotherapy and a hormone-related therapy.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of the drug therapy influences metabolism directly, and wherein the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of the drug therapy influences metabolism directly.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme or the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme is an endogenous modulator.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme or the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme is an exogenous modulator.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme or the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme is a synthetic modulator.

8. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

identifying one or more treatment including at least one identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme and at least one identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme.

9. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

associating at least one anatomic location with predicted activity of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme;

associating the at least one anatomic location with one or more of the at least one modulator of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme; and

invoking circuitry for communicating one or more treatment to a system user, wherein the treatment includes the at least one modulator of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme associated with the at least one anatomic location.

10. A system, comprising:

circuitry for accepting input that specifies an individual;

circuitry for accepting input that identifies a drug therapy associated with the individual;

circuitry for identifying at least one first CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of the drug therapy associated with the individual;

circuitry for identifying at least one second CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of the drug therapy associated with the individual;

circuitry for identifying at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme;

circuitry for identifying at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme; and

circuitry for communicating one or more treatment to a system user, wherein the treatment includes one or more of the identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme and one or more of the identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the individual is a representative individual.

12. The system of claim 10 , wherein the drug therapy associated with the individual includes a statin therapy.

13. The system of claim 10 , wherein the drug therapy associated with the individual includes an acetominophen therapy.

14. The system of claim 10 , wherein the drug therapy associated with the individual includes a cancer chemotherapy.

15. The system of claim 10 , wherein the drug therapy associated with the individual includes a hormone-related therapy.

16. The system of claim 10 , wherein the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of the drug therapy influences metabolism directly, and wherein the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of the drug therapy influences metabolism directly.

17. The system of claim 10 , wherein the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme or the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme is an endogenous modulator.

18. The system of claim 10 , wherein the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme or the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme is an exogenous modulator.

19. The system of claim 10 , wherein the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme or the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme is a synthetic modulator.

20. The system of claim 10 , comprising:

circuitry for identifying one or more treatments including at least one identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme and at least one identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme.

21. The system of claim 10 , comprising:

circuitry for associating at least one anatomic location with predicted activity of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme;

circuitry for associating the at least one anatomic location with one or more of the at least one modulator of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme; and

circuitry for communicating one or more treatment to a system user, wherein the treatment includes the at least one modulator of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme associated with the at least one anatomic location.

22. A method comprising:

accepting input that specifies an individual;

accepting input that identifies a first drug therapy associated with the individual;

accepting input that identifies a second drug therapy associated with the individual;

identifying at least one CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of both the first drug therapy and the second drug therapy;

identifying at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme; and

invoking circuitry for communicating one or more treatment to a system user, wherein the one or more treatment includes one or more of the identified at least one modulator.

23. The method of claim 22 , wherein the individual is a representative individual.

24. The method of claim 22 , wherein the input that identifies a first drug therapy or a second drug therapy associated with the individual identifies a statin therapy.

25. The method of claim 22 , wherein the input that identifies a first drug therapy or a second drug therapy associated with the individual identifies a cancer chemotherapy.

26. The method of claim 22 , wherein the input that identifies a first drug therapy or a second drug therapy associated with the individual identifies a hormone-related therapy.

27. The method of claim 22 , wherein the input that identifies a first drug therapy or a second drug therapy associated with the individual identifies an acetominophen therapy.

28. The method of claim 22 , wherein the at least one CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of both the first drug therapy and the second drug therapy directly influences metabolism.

29. The method of claim 22 , wherein the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme is at least one of: an endogenous modulator, an exogenous modulator and a synthetic modulator.

30. The method of claim 22 , comprising:

identifying one or more treatments including at least one identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme and at least one identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme.

31. The method of claim 22 , comprising:

associating at least one anatomic location with predicted activity of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme;

associating the at least one anatomic location with one or more of the at least one modulator; and

invoking circuitry for communicating at least one treatment to a system user, wherein the treatment includes the at least one modulator of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme associated with the at least one anatomic location.

32. A system comprising:

circuitry for accepting input that specifies an individual;

circuitry for accepting input that identifies a first drug therapy associated with the individual;

circuitry for accepting input that identifies a second drug therapy associated with the individual;

circuitry for identifying at least one CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of both the first drug therapy and the second drug therapy;

circuitry for identifying at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme; and

circuitry for communicating one or more treatment to a system user, wherein the one or more treatment includes one or more of the at least one modulator.

33. The system of claim 32 , wherein the individual is a representative individual.

34. The system of claim 32 , wherein the input that identifies a first drug therapy associated with the individual identifies at least one of: a statin therapy, a cancer chemotherapy, a hormone-related therapy and an acetominophen therapy.

35. The system of claim 32 , wherein the input that identifies a second drug therapy associated with the individual identifies at least one of: a statin therapy, a cancer chemotherapy, a hormone-related therapy and an acetominophen therapy.

36. The system of claim 32 , wherein the identifying at least one CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of both the first drug therapy and the second drug therapy includes identifying a CYP2E enzyme.

37. The system of claim 32 , wherein the input that identifies a second drug therapy associated with the individual identifies an acetominophen therapy.

38. The system of claim 37 , wherein the identifying at least one CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of both the first drug therapy and the second drug therapy includes identifying a CYP2E enzyme.

39. The system of claim 32 , wherein the at least one CYP450-family enzyme that influences metabolism of both the first drug therapy and the second drug therapy directly influences metabolism.

40. The system of claim 32 , wherein the at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme is at least one of: an endogenous modulator, an exogenous modulator and a synthetic modulator.

41. The system of claim 32 , comprising:

circuitry for identifying one or more treatments including at least one identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one first CYP450-family enzyme and at least one identified at least one modulator of one or more of the at least one second CYP450-family enzyme.

42. The system of claim 32 , comprising:

circuitry for identifying at least one environmental factor associated with activity of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme;

circuitry for requesting information regarding one or more of the at least one environmental factor in relation to the individual; and

circuitry for communicating at least one environmental mitigation strategy to a system user.

43. The system of claim 32 , comprising:

circuitry for associating at least one anatomic location with predicted activity of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme;

circuitry for associating the at least one anatomic location with one or more of the at least one modulator; and

circuitry for communicating at least one treatment to a system user, wherein the treatment includes the at least one modulator of the at least one CYP450-family enzyme associated with the at least one anatomic location.
