Abstract

In an image/audio playback technology in a mobile communication terminal, a single image is divided into two halves, i.e., left-half and right-half images, which are displayed on two mobile communication terminals, respectively. In addition, two mobile communication terminals can play left-side and right-side audio data, respectively, which compose stereo audio data, according to the relative locations of the two mobile communication terminals.

Claims (30)

1. A method for displaying an image data in a plurality of mobile communication terminals, the method comprising:

recognizing a relative location of a mobile communication terminal in relation to a counterpart mobile communication terminal;

decoding the image data;

dividing the decoded image data into a plurality of divided image data based on the relative location;

transmitting a portion of the plurality of divided image data to the counterpart mobile communication terminal according to the relative location; and

displaying the plurality of divided image data in a plurality of mobile communication terminals.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the decoded image corresponds to a single image.

3. A mobile device to display a divided image, comprising:

a control unit to control a signal for recognizing a relative location of the mobile device in relation to one or more counterpart mobile devices, and to generate location information corresponding to the relative location;

a codec unit to decode image data;

an image dividing unit to divide the decoded image data into a plurality of divided image data, and to transmit a first one of the plurality of divided image data to a display unit and to transmit a second one of the plurality of divided image data to a communication interface unit according to the location information;

the display unit to display the first one of the plurality of divided image data; and

the communication interface unit to transmit the second one of the plurality of image data to a counterpart mobile device.

4. The mobile device of claim 3 , wherein the decoded image corresponds to a single image.

5. The mobile device of claim 3 , further comprising:

an audio output unit to output first audio data in association with the first one of the plurality of divided image data,

wherein the communication interface unit transmits second audio data to the counterpart mobile device.

6. A method for displaying a divided image in a mobile communication terminal, comprising:

recognizing a first relative location of the mobile communication terminal in relation to a first counterpart mobile communication terminal;

dividing image data into a plurality of divided image data comprising first divided image data and second divided image data based on the first relative location;

transmitting the second divided image data to the first counterpart mobile communication terminal; and

displaying the first divided image data on a display unit of the mobile communication terminal in association with a display of the second divided image data in the first counterpart mobile communication terminal.

7. The method of claim 6 , further comprising:

recognizing a second relative location of the mobile communication terminal in relation to a second counterpart mobile communication terminal; and

transmitting third divided image data to the second counterpart mobile communication terminal,

wherein the plurality of divided image data further comprises the third divided image data, and the image data is divided into the plurality of divided image data based on the second relative location.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the first divided image data is displayed in association with a display of the third divided image data in the second counterpart mobile communication terminal.

9. The method of claim 6 , further comprising:

outputting first audio data in association with the first divided image data; and

transmitting second audio data to the first counterpart mobile communication terminal.
