Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a fabric that may include conformal fibers. The conformal fibers may have different heat reactive properties. Some of the fibers may become more pliable when exposed to low temperature heat. The low temperature fiber may be used to conformal fit the clothing to the wearer. Clothing may be partially or wholly made of heat reactive fibers, which may react to lower temperature heat, such as body temperature. The reactive fibers may conform the clothing to the wearer's body.

Claims (38)

1 . A conformal fabric system for a user, the system comprising:

a first fabric portion; and

a second fabric portion having a reactive property, the second fabric portion configured to change between a first configuration and a second configuration with heat,

wherein the second configuration is configured to be more conforming to the user than the first configuration.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the heat is from the user.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of clothing.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of a surgical gown.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of at least one of pants, shirt, sock, bathing suit, undergarment, or glove.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of a surgical dressing.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein at least the first or second fabric portion is woven.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein at least the first or second fabric portion includes at least one of biodegradable, synthetic, or natural fibers.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second fabric portion becomes more pliable or shrinks from the first configuration to the second configuration.

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second fabric portion includes reactive fibers.

11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to react differently to heat.

12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the reactive property includes the temperature at which at least part of the second fabric portion becomes more pliable or shrinks.

13 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first fabric portion includes a reactive property that is different than the reactive property of the second fabric portion.

14 . A method for a conformal fabric for a user, the method comprising:

providing a first fabric portion; and

providing a second fabric portion configured to change between a first configuration and a second configuration with heat,

wherein the second configuration is configured to be more conforming to the user than the first configuration.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the heat is from the user.

16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of clothing.

17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of a surgical gown.

18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of a surgical dressing.

19 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the second fabric portion becomes more pliable or shrinks from the first configuration to the second configuration.

20 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the second fabric portion includes reactive fibers.

21 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the first fabric portion includes a reactive property that is different than the reactive property of the second fabric portion.

22 . A conformal fabric system for a user, the system comprising:

a first fabric portion having a first reactive property; and

a second fabric portion having a second reactive property,

wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to change between a first configuration and a second configuration with heat and wherein the second configuration is configured to be more confirming to the user than the first configuration.

23 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the heat is from the user.

24 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of clothing.

25 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of a surgical gown.

26 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the first and second fabric portions are configured to form at least part of a surgical dressing.

27 . The system of claim 22 , wherein at least the first or second fabric portion becomes more pliable or shrinks from the first configuration to the second configuration.

28 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the first and second fabric portions include reactive fibers.

29 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the first reactive property is different than the second reactive property.
