The tool further includes an expandable annular member disposed on the tubular. The expandable member has an anchor portion. The tool further includes a seal member disposed in a groove of the expandable annular member. The seal member has one or more anti-extrusion bands, wherein the seal member and the anchor portion are configured to be expandable radially outward into contact with the wellbore as the expandable annular member moves along the tapered outer surface of the tubular.

Claims (8)

1 . A downhole tool for use in a wellbore, the tool comprising:

a tubular having a tapered outer surface;

an expandable annular member disposed on the tubular, the expandable member having an anchor portion; and

a seal member disposed in a groove of the expandable annular member, the seal member having one or more anti-extrusion bands, wherein the seal member and the anchor portion are configured to be expandable radially outward into contact with the wellbore as the expandable annular member moves along the tapered outer surface of the tubular.

2 . The tool of claim 1 , wherein a gap is defined between the seal member and a side of the groove.

3 . The tool of claim 2 , wherein the gap is configured to close completely upon expansion of the annular member.

4 . The tool of claim 3 , wherein the one or more anti-extrusion bands comprise a first anti-extrusion band and a second anti-extrusion band.
