Abstract

An aluminum salt-containing resin powder of the present invention includes: at lest one matrix resin component selected from regenerated collagen, polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose; and an aluminum salt. The aluminum salt is chemically bonded to the matrix resin component, and the resultant is powdered. A resin composition of the present invention includes 0.1 wt % or more and 80 wt % or less of the aluminum salt-containing resin powder and 20 wt % or more and 99.9 wt % or less of a resin other than the aluminum salt-containing resin. Thus, the present invention provides an aluminum salt-containing resin powder having a high phosphorus adsorption property a high antibacterial property and a high antifungal property, and a resin composition containing the aluminum salt-containing resin powder.

21 . In a method of adsorbing phosphorus from a medium, the improvement wherein the medium is exposed to an aluminum salt-containing resin powder comprising:

at least one matrix resin component selected from regenerated collagen, polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose in powder form; and

an aluminum salt chemically bonded to the matrix resin component.

22 . The method according to claim 21 , wherein the matrix resin is cross-linked with the aluminum salt.

23 . The method according to claim 21 , wherein the matrix resin further includes a cross-linking component made of an organic compound.

24 . The method according to claim 23 , wherein the organic compound is a mono-functional epoxy compound represented by the following general formula (1),

where R represents a substituent represented by R 1 —, R 2 —O—CH 2 — or R 2 —COO—CH 2 —, R 1 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 2 or more, or CH 2 Cl, and R 2 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 4 or more.

25 . The method according to claim 21 , wherein the aluminum salt is a basic aluminum chloride or basic aluminum sulfate represented by the following formula:

Al(OH) n Cl 3-n , or Al 2 (OH) 2n (SO 4 ) 3-n ),

where n is 0.5 to 2.5.

26 . The method according to claim 21 , wherein the aluminum salt-containing resin powder has an average particle size of 0.01 to 80 μm.

27 . The method according to claim 21 , wherein the content of aluminum in the aluminum salt-containing resin powder is within a range ranging from 0.1 to 70 wt % on a metallic simple substance basis.

28 . The method according to claim 21 , wherein a composition comprising 0.1 wt % or more and 80 wt % or less of said aluminum salt-containing resin powder and 20 wt % or more and 99.9 wt % or less of a resin other than the aluminum salt-containing resin is used.

29 . in a method of suppressing bacteria growth, the improvement wherein an article treated with an aluminum salt-containing resin powder comprising:

at least one matrix resin component selected from regenerated collagen, polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose in powder form; and

an aluminum salt chemically bonded to the matrix resin component is exposed to conditions permitting bacteria growth.

30 . The method according to claim 29 , wherein the matrix resin is cross-linked with the aluminum salt.

31 . The method according to claim 29 , wherein the matrix resin further includes a cross-linking component made of an organic compound.

32 . The method according to claim 31 , wherein the organic compound is a mono-functional epoxy compound represented by the following general formula (1),

where R represents a substituent represented by R 1 —, R 2 —O—CH 2 — or R 2 —COO—CH 2 —, R 1 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 2 or more, or CH 2 Cl, and R 2 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 4 or more.

33 . The method according to claim 29 , wherein the aluminum salt is a basic aluminum chloride or basic aluminum sulfate represented by the following formula:

Al(OH) n Cl 3-n , or Al 2 (OH) 2n (SO 4 ) 3-n ),

where n is 0.5 to 2.5.

34 . The method according to claim 29 , wherein the aluminum alt-containing resin powder has an average particle size of 0.01 to 80 μm.

35 . The method according to claim 29 , wherein the content of aluminum in the aluminum salt-containing resin powder is within a range ranging from 0.1. to 70 wt % on a metallic simple substance basis.

36 . The method according to claim 29 , wherein a composition comprising 0.1 wt % or more and 80 wt % or less of said aluminum salt-containing resin powder and 20 wt % or more and 99.9 wt % or less of a resin other than the aluminum salt-containing resin is used.

37 . In a method of suppressing mold growth, the improvement wherein the an article treated with an aluminum salt-containing resin powder comprising:

at least one matrix resin component selected from regenerated collagen, polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose in powder form; and

an aluminum salt chemically bonded to the matrix resin component is exposed to conditions permitting mold growth.

38 . The method according to claim 37 , wherein the matrix resin is cross-linked with the aluminum salt.

39 . The method according to claim 37 , wherein the mat resin further includes a cross-linking component made of an organic compound.

40 . The method according to claim 39 , wherein the organic compound is a mono-functional epoxy compound represented by the following general formula (1),

where R represents a substituent represented by R 1 —, R 2 —O—CH 2 — or R 2 —COO—CH 2 —, R 1 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 2 or more, or CH 2 Cl, and R 2 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 4 or more.

41 . The method according to claim 37 , wherein the aluminum salt is a basic aluminum chloride or basic aluminum sulfate represented by the following formula:

Al(OH) n Cl 3-n , or Al 2 (OH) 2n (SO 4 ) 3-n ,

where n is 0.5 to 2.5.

42 . The method according to claim 37 , wherein the aluminum salt-containing resin powder has an average particle size of 0.01 to 80 μm.

43 . The method according to claim 37 , wherein the content of aluminum in the aluminum salt-containing resin powder is within a range ranging from 0.1 to 70 wt % on a metallic simple substance basis.

44 . The method according to claim 37 , wherein a composition comprising 0.1 wt % or more and 80 wt % or less of said aluminum salt-containing resin powder and 20 wt % or more and 99.9 wt % or less of a resin other than the aluminum salt-containing resin is used.

45 . A method of providing an antibacterial property to an object, comprising treating the object with an aluminum salt-containing resin powder comprising:

at least one matrix resin component selected from regenerated collagen, polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose in powder form; and

an aluminum salt chemically bonded to the matrix resin component.

46 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein the matrix resin is cross-linked with the aluminum salt.

47 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein the matrix resin further includes a cross-linking component made of an organic compound.

48 . The method according to claim 47 , wherein the organic compound is a mono-functional epoxy compound represented by the following general formula (1),

where R represents a substituent represented by R 1 —, R 2 —O—CH 2 — or R 2 —COO—CH 2 —, R 1 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 2 or more, or CH 2 Cl, and R 2 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 4 or more.

49 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein the aluminum salt is a basic aluminum chloride or basic aluminum sulfate represented by the following formula:

Al(OH) n Cl 3-n , or Al 2 (OH) 2n (SO 4 ) 3-n ),

where n is 0.5 to 2.5.

50 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein the aluminum salt-containing resin powder has an average particle size of 0.01 to 80 μm.

51 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein the content of aluminum in the aluminum salt-containing resin powder is within a range ranging from 0.1 to 70 wt % on a metallic simple substance basis.

52 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein a composition comprising 0.1 wt % or more and 80 wt % or less of said aluminum salt-containing resin powder and 20 wt % or more and 99.9 wt % or less of a resin other than the aluminum salt-containing resin is used.

53 . A method of providing an anti-mold property to an object, comprising treating the object with an aluminum salt-containing resin powder comprising:

at least one matrix resin component selected from regenerated collagen, polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose in powder form; and

an aluminum salt chemically bonded to the matrix resin component.

54 . The method according to claim 53 , wherein the matrix resin is cross-linked with the aluminum salt.

55 . The method according to claim 53 , wherein the matrix resin further includes a cross-linking component made of an organic compound.

56 . The method according to claim 55 , wherein the organic compound is a mono-functional epoxy compound represented by the following general formula (1),

where R represents a substituent represented by R 1 —, R 2 —O—CH 2 — or R 2 —COO—CH 2 —, R 1 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 2 or more, or CH 2 Cl, and R 2 represents a hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 4 or more.

57 . The method according to claim 53 , wherein the aluminum salt is a basic aluminum chloride or basic aluminum sulfate represented by the following formula:

Al(OH) n Cl 3-n , or Al 2 (OH) 2n (SO 4 ) 3-n ),

where n is 0.5 to 2.5.

58 . The method according to claim 53 , wherein the aluminum salt-containing resin powder has an average particle size of 0.01 to 80 μm.

59 . The method according to claim 53 , wherein the content of aluminum in the aluminum salt-containing resin powder is within a range ranging from 0.1 to 70 wt % on a metallic simple substance basis.

60 . The method according to claim 53 , wherein a composition comprising 0.1 wt % or more and 80 wt % or less of said aluminum salt-containing resin powder and 20 wt % or more and 99.9 wt % or less of a resin other than the aluminum salt-containing resin is used.
