System to feature a posting
View Patent ↗Products and processes are provided in which information is received about a post relating to an item to be sold via a posting site. A posting payment award is determined. The posting payment award may be determined by calculating a posting payment amount. The posting award is provided in the form of a prominent feature of the post on the posting site.
1. Apparatus, comprising:
a processor;
a communication port coupled to the processor; and
a storage device operatively coupled to the processor and containing instructions configured to direct the processor to:
receive posting information for a post relating to an item to be sold via a posting site; determine a posting award relating to the post; and
provide the posting award in the form of a prominent featuring of the post on the posting site, the posting award being provided in exchange for the posting information.
2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the instructions configured to direct the processor to determine the posting award further comprises instructions configured to direct the processor to calculate a posting payment amount, and wherein the instructions configured to direct the processor to provide the posting award comprises instructions configured to direct the processor to transfer the posting payment amount.
3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posting information includes account information associated with an account with respect to which the posting award is provided.
4. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posting award is provided when the post for the item is posted.
5. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posting award is provided when the item is sold.
6. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posting award is provided when a bid is received for the item.
7. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the instructions configured to direct the processor to determine the posting award comprises instructions configured to direct the processor to determine a commission arrangement.
8. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posting information is received from a mobile device.
9. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posting award is provided by the posting site.
10. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posting award is provided by an entity that is different than the posting site.
11. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posting award is provided in the form of a prominent featuring of a future post.
12. The apparatus of claim 3 , including instructions configured to direct the processor to provide the posting award using the account information.
13. A method comprising:
receiving posting information for a post relating to an item to be sold via a posting site; using at least one processor, determining a posting award relating to the post; and
providing the posting award in the form of a prominent featuring of the post on the posting site including providing the posting award in exchange for the posting information.
14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the determining of the posting award further comprises calculating a posting payment amount, and wherein the providing of the posting award comprises transferring the posting payment amount.
15. The method of claim 13 , wherein the posting information includes account information associated with an account with respect to which the posting award is provided.
16. The method of claim 13 , wherein the posting award is provided when the post for the item is posted.
17. The method of claim 13 , wherein the posting award is provided when the item is sold.
18. The method of claim 13 , wherein the posting award is provided when a bid is received for the item.
19. The method of claim 13 , wherein the determining of the posting award comprises determining a commission arrangement.
20. The method of claim 13 , wherein the posting award is provided by the posting site.
21. The method of claim 13 , wherein the posting award is provided by an entity that is different than the posting site.
22. The method of claim 13 , wherein the posting award is provided in the form of a prominent featuring of a future post.
23. The method of claim 15 , including providing the posting award using the account information.
24. The method of claim 20 , wherein the posting award is provided to a mobile device.
25. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions configured to direct a processor to:
receive posting information for a post relating to an item to be sold via a posting site; determine a posting award relating to the post; and
provide the posting award in the form of a prominent featuring of the post on the posting site, the posting award being provided in exchange for the posting information.
26. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the posting award is provided to a mobile device.
27. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 25 , wherein the posting information is received from a mobile device.
28. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 25 , wherein the posting award is provided to a mobile device.
29. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the posting award is provided to a mobile device.
30. The method of claim 21 , wherein the posting award is provided to a mobile device.
