SYSTEM TO SOLICIT COMMITMENT TO POST INFORMATION
Products and processes are provided in which an award for a commitment from an entity to post information, via a posting site, at or before a subsequent time is offered to an entity. In response to receiving the commitment, the award is provided to the entity.
1 . Apparatus, comprising:
a processor;
a communication port coupled to the processor; and
a storage device operatively coupled to the processor and containing instructions configured to direct the processor to:
offer an entity an award for a commitment, from an entity to post information, via a posting site, at or before a subsequent time; and
provide the award to the entity in response to receipt of the commitment.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , including instructions configured to direct the processor to determine that the entity has posted the information at or before the subsequent time in fulfillment of the commitment.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the instructions configured to direct the processor to provide the award includes instructions configured to direct the processor to qualify the information for the award.
4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the instructions configured to direct the processor to qualify the information includes instructions configured to direct the processor to determine that the information identifies a minimum number of posts to be made via the posting site at or before the subsequent time.
5 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the instructions configured to direct the processor to qualify the information includes instructions configured to direct the processor to determine that a value of an item identified in the information exceeds a threshold.
6 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the instructions configured to direct the processor to qualify of the information includes instructions configured to direct the processor to determine that an item identified in the information is not of a restricted item type.
7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the instructions configured to direct the processor to provide the award further comprises instructions configured to direct the processor to calculate a payment amount, and transfer the payment amount.
8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , including instructions configured to direct the processor to receive account information identifying an account with respect to which the payment amount is to be provided.
9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the account information comprises at least one of debit and credit card information.
10 . A method comprising:
offering an entity an award for a commitment, from an entity to post information, via a posting site, at or before a subsequent time; and
using at least one processor and responsive to receipt of the commitment, providing the award to the entity.
11 . The method of claim 10 , including determining that the entity has posted the information at or before the subsequent time in fulfillment of the commitment.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the providing of the award includes qualifying the information for the award.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the qualifying of the information includes determining that the information identifies a minimum number of posts to be made via the posting site at or before the subsequent time.
14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the qualifying of the information includes determining that a value of an item identified in the information exceeds a threshold.
15 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the qualifying of the information includes determining that an item identified in the information is not of a restricted item type.
16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the providing of the award further comprises calculating a payment amount, and transferring the payment amount.
17 . The method of claim 16 , including receiving account information identifying an account with respect to which the payment amount is to be provided.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the account information comprises at least one of debit and credit card information.
19 . A computer readable medium storing instructions configured to direct a processor to:
offer an entity an award for a commitment, from an entity to post information, via a posting site, at or before a subsequent time; and
provide the award to the entity in response to receipt of the commitment.
