Abstract

A Parametric Systematic Error Correction (ParSEC) method is disclosed which provides improved accuracy for image navigation and registration (INR). This method may be employed in imaging systems that exhibit systematic distortion. The ParSEC method comprises employing a Parametric Systematic Error Correction (ParSEC) system wherein coefficients for the system are determined by employing an nth order Taylor Series.

Claims (8)

1 . A method of providing improved image navigation and registration (INR) for an imaging system that exhibits systematic distortion comprising:

employing a Parametric Systematic Error Correction (ParSEC) system wherein coefficients for said system are determined using an nth order Taylor Series.

2 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the nth order Taylor Series equals 1 and either E or N is used as variables.

3 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the nth order Taylor Series equals 1 and E and N are used as variables.

4 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the nth order Taylor Series equals 2 and either E or N is used as variables.

5 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the nth order Taylor Series equals 2 and E and N are used as variables.

6 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the nth order Taylor Series equals 3 and either E or N is used as variables.

7 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the nth order Taylor Series equals 3 and E and N are used as variables.
