Abstract

A resilient strap mount allowing for increased flexibility and movement of a user's shoulders and arms while wearing an athletic pack is presented. The resilient strap mount is constructed having a flexible body member consisting of two body member arms and a body member base. Shoulder harness straps, attaching to shoulder harnesses of the athletic pack, are each respectively threaded through one of the body member arms. An athletic pack strap, attaching to the base of the body of the athletic pack, is threaded through the body member base. In a preferred embodiment, each body member arm is constructed with a body member neck having a thinner width and thickness than the remainder of the flexible body member and each member neck has a pair of slot holes to allow for increased flexibility and stretching of the resilient strap mount.

Claims (18)

1 . A resilient strap mount, comprising:

a flexible body member, a construction shape thereof comprising:

at least one body member arm; and

at least one body member base; and

at least one slot hole cut through the flexible body member,

wherein a strap, connected to an athletic pack, may be routed through the slot hole such that when the strap is moved the flexible body member flexes.

2 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 1 , wherein the construction shape of the flexible body member allows for at least one of a two-way, three-way, four-way and other geometrical stretch.

3 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 1 , wherein the flexible body member is resilient such that whereupon when a biased movement of the strap in a direction away from the flexible body member ceases, the flexible body member returns to its original shape.

4 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 1 , the body member arm further comprising:

a body member neck,

wherein the body member neck is of a narrower diameter than the end of the at least one body member arm.

5 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 4 , wherein the body member neck further comprises: at least one member neck slot hole.

6 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one slot hole is positioned on at least one of the at least one body member and at least one body member base.

7 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 1 , further comprising:

at least one supporting ridge integral to the flexible body member.

8 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 1 , wherein the resilient strap mount is mounted on an athletic pack or backpack.

9 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 1 , wherein the resilient strap mount is constructed of a material both flexible and resilient.

10 . The resilient strap mount according to claim 1 , wherein the strap is connected to the athletic pack either directly or to a shoulder harness.
