Abstract

A compound represented by the formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: which is used for preventive and/or therapeutic treatment of a disease caused by abnormal activity of tau protein kinase 1 such as a neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer disease).

Claims (6)

1. A method of treating Alzheimer's disease comprising administering a compound represented by formula (I)

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a patient in need of such treatment.

2. A method of treating non-insulin dependent diabetes comprising administering a compound represented by formula (I)

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a patient in need of such treatment.

3. A method of treating a cognitive and memory deficit characteristic of Alzheimer's disease comprising administering a compound represented by formula (I)

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a patient in need of such treatment.
