Abstract

A mobile personsize display system and method of use; in general, a platform, a support frame, a module display frame, an LED panel display formed of a plurality of LED display modules having a plurality of pixels, four or more casters, a battery powered supply, a media player (electrically communicating with the plurality of display modules for controlling the display of an image(s) on the LED panel display, and a removable content storage device and; thus, functions as a rugged person size mobile, light weight, battery powered display to inform customers and passers-by about product and service offerings via a rugged person size mobile light weight battery powered display.

Claims (58)

1. A mobile display system configured to be repositioned on a surface comprising:

a base having one or more caster affixed thereto;

a support structure configured to extend therefrom said base;

a sub-frame supported by said support structure;

one or more display sub-assemblies configured with a plurality of light emitters, said one or more display sub-assemblies configured to be releasably affixed to said sub-frame to form a flat panel display having a display edge, wherein at least one said display edge is a minimal distance above the surface;

a media player configured to communicate content to said one or more display sub-assemblies; and

a portable power supply configured to power said one or more display sub-assemblies of said flat panel display.

2. The mobile display system of claim 1 , further comprising an audio output device.

3. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said one or more caster affixed to an underside of said base.

4. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said flat panel display is configured as a single sided display.

5. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said flat panel display is configured as a two sided display.

6. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said media player and said portable power supply are positioned on said base.

7. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said base further comprises a brand identifier positioned thereon.

8. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said flat panel display is configured to display content associated with products.

9. The mobile display system of claim 8 , wherein said flat panel display is positioned approximate the products.

10. The mobile display system of claim 8 , wherein said flat panel display is integrated with the products.

11. The mobile display system of claim 1 , further comprising a feedback technology.

12. The mobile display system of claim 11 , wherein said flat panel display is configured to display content incorporated from said feedback technology.

13. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said caster further comprises a lock mechanism.

14. The mobile display system of claim 1 , further comprising a functionality feature.

15. The mobile display system of claim 14 , wherein said flat panel display is configured to display content incorporated from said functionality feature.

16. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said media player further comprises an in/output port.

17. The mobile display system of claim 16 , wherein said in/output port connects a removable storage device to said media player.

18. The mobile display system of claim 17 , wherein said removable storage device is configured to store content to be displayed by said media player on said one or more display sub-assemblies.

19. The mobile display system of claim 16 , wherein said in/output port connects a local area network to said media player.

20. The mobile display system of claim 19 , wherein said local area network is configured to deliver content to be displayed by said media player on said one or more display sub-assemblies.

21. The mobile display system of claim 1 , further comprising a standardized communication protocol configured to enable communication between said media player and said one or more display sub-assemblies.

22. The mobile display system of claim 21 , wherein said standardized communication protocol includes video graphics array.

23. The mobile display system of claim 21 , wherein said media player communicates with a scalar board.

24. The mobile display system of claim 23 , wherein said scalar board is configured to convert content from one format to another.

25. The mobile display system of claim 23 , wherein said scalar board communicates with a sending card.

26. The mobile display system of claim 25 , wherein said sending card is configured to divide content between said one or more display sub-assemblies.

27. The mobile display system of claim 25 , wherein said sending card communicates with a receiving card.

28. The mobile display system of claim 27 , wherein said receiving card is configured to communicate the content to said one or more display sub-assemblies.

29. The mobile display system of claim 21 , wherein said standardized communication protocol includes digital visual interface.

30. The mobile display system of claim 23 , wherein said scalar board communicates with an electronics device configured to communicate the content to said one or more display sub-assemblies.

31. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said portable power supply further comprises one or more regulator boards configured to distribute power to said one or more display sub-assemblies.

32. The mobile display system of claim 31 , wherein said one or more regulator boards configured to distribute power to said media player.

33. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said plurality of light emitters is spaced apart a pixel gap therebetween.

34. The mobile display system of claim 33 , wherein said one or more display sub-assemblies is spaced apart sub-assembly gap therebetween.

35. The mobile display system of claim 34 , wherein said sub-assembly gap configured to be approximately equal to said pixel gap.

36. The mobile display system of claim 33 , wherein said sub-assembly gap further comprises one or more bend points.

37. The mobile display system of claim 34 , wherein said one or more bend points configured to enable one or more display sub-assemblies to bend to form a curve.

38. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of light emitters are positioned in a cup.

39. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said cup is encapsulated with an optical epoxy to form a rigid surface for said plurality of light emitters of said one or more display sub-assemblies.

40. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said one or more display sub-assemblies are configured to generate a personsize image on the mobile display.

41. The mobile display system of claim 1 , wherein said one or more display sub-assemblies are configured to be seamless.

42. The mobile display system of claim 1 , further comprising an assembly gap between display sub-assemblies and a pixel gap between said light emitters, wherein said assembly gap is approximately equal to said pixel gap.

43. A method of using a mobile display system comprising the steps of:

providing a mobile display system with a base having one or more caster affixed thereto, a support structure configured to extend therefrom said base, a sub-frame supported by said support structure, one or more display sub-assemblies configured with a plurality of light emitters, said one or more display sub-assemblies configured to be releasably affixed to said sub-frame to form a flat panel display, having a display edge, wherein at least one said display edge is a minimal distance above the surface, a media player configured to communicate content to said one or more display sub-assemblies, and a portable power supply configured to power said one or more display sub-assemblies of said flat panel display;

positioning said mobile display system in a first position by rolling said casters;

operating said mobile display system in said first position;

repositioning said mobile display system in a second position by rolling said casters; and

operating said mobile display system in said second position.

44. The method of claim 43 , further comprising the step of incorporating at least one functionality feature into the operation of said mobile display system.

45. The method of claim 43 , further comprising the step of displaying marketing materials on said mobile display system to inform customers of product offerings.

46. The method of claim 43 , further comprising the step of moving said mobile display system to redesign product offerings.

47. The method of claim 43 , further comprising the step of integrating viewer feedback into the display of content on said mobile display system.
