Abstract

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for credential transfer. In one aspect there is provided a method. The method may include receiving, at a first device, an authorization token; determining, at the first device, a delegation token, one or more credentials, and metadata; and providing, by the first device to a second device, the delegation token, the one or more credentials, and the metadata. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.

Claims (54)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving, at a first device, an authorization token;

determining, at the first device, a delegation token, one or more credentials, and metadata; and

providing, by the first device to a second device, the delegation token, the one or more credentials, and the metadata.

2 . The method of claim 1 further comprising:

receiving a public key of the second device and a certificate of the second device.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving further comprises:

receiving, at the first device, the authorization token, a public key of the second device and a certificate of the second device, wherein the authorization token, the public key, and the certificate are received in response to a verification of a password associated with the one or more credentials.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining the authentication token by encrypting, using a public key of the first device, a hash message authentication code of a password and a public key of the second device.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the delegation token further comprises:

calculating, using a private key of the first device, a digital signature of a public key of the second device.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the metadata include location information for a provider of at least one of the one or more credentials, the at least one of the one or more credentials transferrable only between the provider and at least one of the first device and the second device.

7 . A method comprising:

receiving, at a proxy, an authorization token;

determining, at the proxy and in response to the received authorization token, a delegation token; and

providing to a device one or more credentials based on the determined delegation token.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the receiving further comprising:

receiving, at the proxy, a public key of the device and a certificate of the device.

9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the receiving further comprises:

receiving, at the proxy, the authorization token, a public key of the device and a certificate of the device, wherein the authorization token, the public key, and the certificate are received in response to a verification of a password associated with the one or more credentials.

10 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

determining the authentication token by encrypting, using a public key of the proxy, a hash message authentication code of a password and a public key of the device.

11 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the determining the delegation token further comprises:

calculating, using a private key of the proxy, a digital signature of a public key of the device.

12 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the metadata include location information for a provider of at least one of the one or more credentials, the at least one of the one or more credentials transferrable by the provider.

13 . An apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one memory, wherein the at least one processor and the at least one memory are configured to provide at least the following:

receive an authorization token;

determine a delegation token, one or more credentials, and metadata; and

provide to a device the delegation token, the one or more credentials, and the metadata.

14 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the apparatus is further configured to:

determine the authentication token by encrypting, using a public key of the apparatus, a hash message authentication code of a password and a public key of the device.

15 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the processor being configured to determine the delegation token is further configured to:

calculate, using a private key of the apparatus, a digital signature of a public key.

16 . An apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one memory, wherein the at least one processor and the at least one memory are configured to provide at least the following:

receive an authorization token;

determine a delegation token; and

provide to a device one or more credentials based on the determined delegation token.

17 . The apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the apparatus is further configured to:

determine the authentication token by encrypting, using a public key of the apparatus, a hash message authentication code of a password and a public key of the device.

18 . The apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the processor being configured to determine the delegation token is further configured to:

calculate, using a private key of the apparatus, a digital signature of a public key of the device.

19 . A computer-readable medium including code, which when executed on at least one processor, provides operations comprising:

receiving an authorization token;

determining a delegation token, one or more credentials, and metadata; and

providing the delegation token, the one or more credentials, and the metadata.

20 . A computer-readable medium including code, which when executed on at least one processor, provides operations comprising:

receiving an authorization token;

determining a delegation token; and

providing one or more credentials based on the determined delegation token.
