Abstract

Glasses of present invention includes a frame portion which includes an opening through which an image displayed on a displaying device is viewed with bilateral eyes, a temple portion configured to be capable of being opened and closed against the frame portion and which includes spring material capable of being inelastically deformed, a movable portion arranged at one of the temple portion and the frame portion and which contacts to the other of the temple portion and the frame portion when the temple portion is opened to the maximum while the contacting position is movable, and a contacting portion which is arranged at the other of the temple portion and the frame portion and which contacts to the movable portion when the temple portion is opened to the maximum and varies the maximum open amount of the temple portion corresponding to movement of the movable portion.

Claims (15)

1. Shutter glasses for viewing an image displayed on a displaying device, the shutter glasses comprising:

a frame portion which includes an opening through which the image displayed on the displaying device is viewed;

temple portions each configured to be opened and closed against the frame portion and each including a spring member of material capable of being inelastically deformed;

movable portions arranged at one of the temple portions and the frame portion and contacting another of the temple portions and the frame portion when the temple portions are opened to a maximum open amount corresponding to a maximum allowed movement of the movable portions; and

contacting portions arranged at the another of the temple portions and the frame portion and contacting to the movable portions when the temple portions are opened to the maximum open amount,

wherein the contacting portions are configured such that the maximum open amount of the temple portions is adjustable by adjusting the corresponding maximum allowed movement of the movable portions.

2. The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein the contacting portions are configured such that the length of each of the temple portions is adjustable.

3. The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein the movable portions each includes a respective protrusion which contacts one of the contacting portions, and each of the contacting portions is a bottom face of a groove to which the respective protrusion is inserted.

4. The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein each of the movable portions is a rotating member which rotates around a respective rotation shaft.

5. The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein each of the movable portions is a slide member which slides in a predetermined direction.

The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein the shutter glasses is configured to accommodate two polarizing plates respectively having different polarizing angles and two liquid crystal shutters capable of alternately switching polarization states synchronized with images for left and right eyes.

7. The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein the shutter glasses is configured to accommodate an infrared light detecting unit that detects infrared light transmitted from the displaying device.

8. The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein the shutter glasses is configured to accommodate a driving circuit for liquid crystal shutters and a battery for the driving circuit.

9. The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein the shutter glasses is configured to be worn over ordinary visual correction glasses.

10. The shutter glasses for image viewing according to claim 1 , wherein the shutter glasses is configured to be worn on various sized heads and faces.
