FLEXIBLE WEB PAGE TEMPLATE BUILDING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An auto-expanding navigation area for a web page is presented which allows a user to select a number of buttons to be displayed in the navigation area and which automatically identically sizes and displays the selected number of buttons in the navigation area and automatically expands or reduces the navigation area based on the number of buttons.
1 . A method for maximizing the size of text in a user-editable area of a web page template, the user-editable area comprising an available text area characterized by a width and a height, the method comprising:
determining the current size of the text in the user-editable area of the web page template;
automatically determining a first scale factor comprising an amount to scale the text to fill the width of the available text area;
automatically determining a second scale factor comprising an amount to scale the text to fill the height of the available text area;
automatically selecting the smaller of the first scale factor and the second scale factor;
automatically scaling the text by the selected scale factor; and
replacing the text of current size in the user-editable area of the web page template with the scaled text.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user-editable area of the web page template comprises text entered by a user designing a web page.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user-editable area of the web page template comprises a header area of the web page.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user-editable area of the web page template comprises a navigation button.
