Abstract

There is disclosed antibody molecules containing at least one CDR derived from a mouse monoclonal antibody having specificity for human CD22. There is also disclosed a CDR grafted antibody wherein at least one of the CDRs is a modified CDR. Further disclosed are DNA sequences encoding the clains of the antibody molecules, vectors, transformed host cells and uses of the antibody molecules in the treatment of diseases mediated by cells expressing CD22.

Claims (14)

1 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the sequence of the light chain comprises residues 21 to 239 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:28.

2 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the sequence of the light chain consists of residues 21 to 239 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:28.

3 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the sequence of the heavy chain comprises residues 20 to 466 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:30.

4 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the sequence of the heavy chain consists of residues 20 to 466 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:30.

5 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the sequence of the heavy chain consists of residues 20 to 467 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:30.

6 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the light chain comprises an amino acid sequence resulting from the expression of SEQ ID NO:29 in a mammalian cell.

7 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the light chain consists of an amino acid sequence resulting from the expression of SEQ ID NO:29 in a mammalian cell.

8 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the heavy chain comprises an amino acid sequence resulting from the expression of SEQ ID NO:31 in a mammalian cell.

9 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the heavy chain consists of an amino acid sequence resulting from the expression of SEQ ID NO:31 in a mammalian cell.

10 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the sequence of the light chain comprises residues 21 to 239 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:28 and the sequence of the heavy chain comprises residues 20 to 466 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:30.

An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the sequence of the light chain consists of residues 21 to 239 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:28 and the sequence of the heavy chain consists of residues 20 to 466 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:30.

An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the sequence of the light chain consists of residues 21 to 239 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:28 and the sequence of the heavy chain consists of residues 20 to 467 of the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:30.

13 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the light chain comprises an amino acid sequence resulting from the expression of SEQ ID NO:29 and the heavy chain comprises an amino acid sequence resulting from the expression of SEQ ID NO:31 in a mammalian cell.

14 . An antibody molecule having specificity for human CD22, comprising a light chain and a heavy chain, wherein the light chain consists of an amino acid sequence resulting from the expression of SEQ ID NO:29 and the heavy chain consists of an amino acid sequence resulting from the expression of SEQ ID NO:31 in a mammalian cell.
