METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING ANALYSIS OF INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO GROUP PROJECT
Information relating to intellectual property, across one or more intellectual property applications having various types of intellectual property data, can be provided and/or accessed in an integrated manner. Commonality(ies) are determined between disparate intellectual property applications, that may be applied by the intellectual property applications in accessing the intellectual property information. Responsive to a user request, which may include a specified commonality, stored information regarding the disparate data corresponding to the disparate intellectual property applications is retrieved. The commonality is utilized in bridging the gap to the intellectual property data for the disparate intellectual property applications. The bridging is provided by use of a commonality and by an IP engine.

21 . A method for providing an analysis of individual contributions to a group project, comprising:
providing, in a computer processor device, a project which correlates a product/service to intellectual property documents;
assigning, in the computer processor device, individuals to the project, the individuals forming a team working on the project;
recording, in a data storage from the computer processor device, each contribution to the project by one of the individuals, each contribution being in the form of an annotation to one of the intellectual property documents in the project or a link from one of the intellectual property documents and including an indication of the one of the individuals that made the contribution; and
calculating relative contributions of the individuals working on the project based on each contribution of one of the individuals to the intellectual property documents in the project, to indicate the contribution of each of the individuals to teamwork on the project.
22 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising
receiving, in the computer processor device, an assignment of a weight to each contribution, wherein
the relative contribution of the individuals is further calculated based on the weight assigned to each contribution.
23 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising
providing a notification of unfulfilled work functions or administrative functions in the project.
24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein
at least one of the intellectual property documents in the project is a patent, trademark or copyright document;
at least another one of the intellectual property documents is a legal analysis of the patent, trademark or copyright in relation to the correlated product/service; and
the annotation is in the patent, trademark or copyright document, and the link is in the legal analysis.
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein contributions to the project by plural individuals are different legal analyses of the product/service in relation to each of individual phrases within the intellectual property document, further comprising:
selecting, for individual phrases within the intellectual property document, one of the different legal analyses as a preferred legal analysis in relation to one of the individual phrases within the intellectual property document, to be provided as a final report;
26 . The method of claim 25 , further comprising
calculating a higher relative contribution for the one of the individuals having more legal analyses selected for the report.
27 . A system, implemented on at least one computer, for providing an analysis of individual contributions to a group project, comprising:
an interface; and
a processor cooperatively operable with the interface, the processor being configured to
receive an indication of a project which correlates a product/service to intellectual property documents;
assign individuals to the project, the individuals forming a team working on the project;
record, in a data storage via the interface, each contribution to the project by one of the individuals, each contribution being in the form of an annotation to one of the intellectual property documents in the project or a link from one of the intellectual property documents and including an indication of the one of the individuals that made the contribution; and
calculate relative contributions of the individuals working on the project based on each contribution of one of the individuals to the intellectual property documents in the project, to indicate the contribution of each of the individuals to teamwork on the project.
28 . The system of claim 27 , wherein the processor is further configured to
receive an assignment of a weight to each contribution, wherein
the relative contribution of the individuals is further calculated based on the weight assigned to each contribution.
29 . The system of claim 27 , wherein the processor is further configured to
provide a notification of unfulfilled work functions or administrative functions in the project.
30 . The system of claim 27 , wherein
at least one of the intellectual property documents in the project is a patent, trademark or copyright document;
at least another one of the intellectual property documents is a legal analysis of the patent, trademark or copyright in relation to the correlated product/service; and
the annotation is in the patent, trademark or copyright document, and the link is in the legal analysis.
31 . The system of claim 27 , wherein contributions to the project by plural individuals are different legal analyses of the product/service in relation to each of individual phrases within the intellectual property document, wherein the processor is further configured to:
select, for individual phrases within the intellectual property document, one of the different legal analyses as a preferred legal analysis in relation to one of the individual phrases within the intellectual property document, to be provided as a final report;
32 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the processor is further configured to
calculate a higher relative contribution for the one of the individuals having more legal analyses selected for the report.
33 . A computer program stored on a non-transitory computer-readable medium with a method for providing an analysis of individual contributions to a group project, the program comprising computer-executable steps for:
providing, in a computer processor device, a project which correlates a product/service to intellectual property documents;
assigning, in the computer processor device, individuals to the project, the individuals forming a team working on the project;
recording, in a data storage from the computer processor device, each contribution to the project by one of the individuals, each contribution being in the form of an annotation to one of the intellectual property documents in the project or a link from one of the intellectual property documents and including an indication of the one of the individuals that made the contribution; and
calculating relative contributions of the individuals working on the project based on each contribution of one of the individuals to the intellectual property documents in the project, to indicate the contribution of each of the individuals to teamwork on the project.
34 . The computer program of claim 33 , further comprising
receiving, in the computer processor device, an assignment of a weight to each contribution, wherein

35 . The computer program of claim 33 , further comprising
providing a notification of unfulfilled work functions or administrative functions in the project.
36 . The computer program of claim 33 , wherein

at least another one of the intellectual property documents is a legal analysis of the patent, trademark or copyright in relation to the correlated product/service; and
the annotation is in the patent, trademark or copyright document, and the link is in the legal analysis.
37 . The computer program of claim 33 , wherein contributions to the project by plural individuals are different legal analyses of the product/service in relation to each of individual phrases within the intellectual property document, further comprising:
