GALLERY OPERATIONS FOR AN ALBUM AND PICTURE PAGE IN LANDSCAPE DUAL MODE
Methods and devices for selectively presenting a user interface in a dual screen device. More particularly, the method includes providing a gallery for the dual screen device. The gallery can present one or more images in a user interface. The gallery user interface can adapt to changes in the device configuration. Further, the gallery can display images or videos in the various configurations.
1 . A method, comprising:
providing a device having at least first and second screens, wherein the device is in a landscape dual screen orientation;
receiving a first input to the device, wherein the first input executes a gallery function;
in response to the first input, displaying the gallery across at least a portion of the first screen and at least a portion of the second screen;
receiving a selection of an album in the first section;
in response to the selection of the album, displaying a first section containing one or more images associated with the album.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying a first image in the album in a second section.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first section is displayed on the first screen.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the first section is navigable.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the second section is displayed in at least a portion of the first screen and at least a portion of the second screen.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the second section contains only one image.
7 . The method of claim 6 , further comprising highlighting a thumbnail associated with the first image in the first section.
8 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising receiving a second selection of a second thumbnail in the first section displaying images associated with the album.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising, in response to the second selection of the album, displaying a second image associated with the second thumb nail in the second section.
10 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the first image is a video, and further comprising:
receiving a second input;
in response to the second input, displaying one or more video controls.
11 . A device, comprising:
a first screen, the first screen including a first gesture capture region;
a second screen, wherein the second screen faces an opposite direction from the first screen when the device is closed, and wherein an image capture lens is associated with the second screen;
a memory;
a processor in communication with the memory, the first screen, and the second screen, the processor operable to:
receive a first input to the device, wherein the first input executes a gallery function;
in response to the first input, display the gallery across at least a portion of the first screen and at least a portion of the second screen;
receive a selection of an album in the first section;
in response to the selection of the album, display a first section containing one or more images associated with the album.
12 . The device of claim 11 , the processor further operable to display a first image in the album in a second section, wherein the second section is displayed in at least a portion of the first screen and at least a portion of the second screen, and wherein the second section contains only one image.
13 . The device of claim 12 , wherein the first section is displayed on the first screen, and wherein the first section is navigable.
14 . The device of claim 13 , the processor further operable to highlight a thumbnail associated with the first image in the first section.
15 . The device of claim 14 , the processor further operable to:
receive a second selection of a second thumbnail in the first section displaying images associated with the album.
in response to the second selection of the album, display a second image associated with the second thumb nail in the second section.
16 . A computer readable medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions, the computer executable instructions causing a processor of a device to execute a method for providing a user interface, the computer-executable instructions comprising:
instructions to receive a first input to the device, wherein the first input executes a gallery function;
in response to the first input, instructions to display the gallery across at least a portion of the first screen and at least a portion of the second screen;
instructions to receive a selection of an album in the first section;
in response to the selection of the album, instructions to display a first section containing one or more images associated with the album.
17 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , further comprising instructions to display a first image in the album in a second section, wherein the second section is displayed in at least a portion of the first screen and at least a portion of the second screen, and wherein the second section contains only one image.
18 . The computer readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the first section is displayed on the first screen, and wherein the first section is navigable.
19 . The computer readable medium of claim 17 , further comprising instructions to highlight a thumbnail associated with the first image in the first section.
20 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , further comprising instructions to:
receive a second selection of a second thumbnail in the first section displaying images associated with the album.
in response to the second selection of the album, display a second image associated with the second thumb nail in the second section.
