GALLERY VIDEO PLAYER MOVEMENT ICONOGRAPHY
Methods and devices for selectively presenting a user interface in a dual screen device. More particularly, the method includes providing a gallery for the dual screen device. The gallery can present one or more images in a user interface. The gallery user interface can adapt to changes in the device configuration. Further, the gallery can display images or videos in the various configurations.
1 . A method, comprising:
providing a device having at least first and second screens, wherein the device is in a landscape dual screen orientation;
receiving a first input to the device;
executing a gallery function;
executing a video player of the gallery function;
displaying a video with the video player across at least a portion of the first screen;
receiving a second input, wherein the second input moves the display of the video from the first screen to at least a portion of the second screen.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising, during the movement, displaying the video in the first screen.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising, during the movement, displaying an icon in the second screen.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the icon does not display the video.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the icon is a visual indicia of the movement.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the icon moves onto the second screen in conjunction with the second input.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein at least a portion of the display of the video on the first screen moves off of the first screen.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
determining that the movement is an expansion of the display to cover both the first screen and the second screen in a full screen mode; and
expanding the display to cover the first and second screens.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the video continues to be displayed as it expands.
10 . The method of claim 7 , wherein an icon is not shown during the expansion.
11 . A device, comprising:
a first screen, the first screen including a first gesture capture region;
a second screen, wherein the second screen faces an opposite direction from the first screen when the device is closed, and wherein an image capture lens is associated with the second screen;
a memory;
a processor in communication with the memory, the first screen, and the second screen, the processor operable to:
receive a first input to the device;
execute a gallery function;
execute a video player of the gallery function;
display a video with the video player across at least a portion of the first screen;
receive a second input, wherein the second input moves the display of the video from the first screen to at least a portion of the second screen.
12 . The device of claim 11 , the processor further operable to:
during the movement, display the video in the first screen; and
during the movement, display an icon in the second screen.
13 . The device of claim 11 , wherein the icon does not display the video, wherein the icon is a visual indicia of the movement, and wherein the icon moves onto the second screen in conjunction with the second input.
14 . The device of claim 13 , wherein at least a portion of the display of the video on the first screen moves off of the first screen.
15 . The device of claim 11 , the processor further operable to:
determine that the movement is an expansion of the display to cover both the first screen and the second screen in a full screen mode;
expand the display to cover the first and second screens; and
wherein the video continues to be displayed as it expands, and wherein an icon is not shown during the expansion.
16 . A computer readable medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions, the computer executable instructions causing a processor of a device to execute a method for providing a user interface, the computer-executable instructions comprising:
instructions to receive a first input to the device;
instructions to execute a gallery function;
instructions to execute a video player of the gallery function;
instructions to display a video with the video player across at least a portion of the first screen;
instructions to receive a second input, wherein the second input moves the display of the video from the first screen to at least a portion of the second screen.
17 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , further comprising instructions to:
during the movement, display the video in the first screen; and
during the movement, display an icon in the second screen.
18 . The computer readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the icon does not display the video, wherein the icon is a visual indicia of the movement, and wherein the icon moves onto the second screen in conjunction with the second input.
19 . The computer readable medium of claim 17 , wherein at least a portion of the display of the video on the first screen moves off of the first screen.
20 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , further comprising instructions to:
determine that the movement is an expansion of the display to cover both the first screen and the second screen in a full screen mode;
expand the display to cover the first and second screens; and
wherein the video continues to be displayed as it expands, and wherein an icon is not shown during the expansion.
