Abstract

The invention provides a textile product ( 1 ) having a lighting function. The textile product ( 1 ) comprises (a) a coated textile structure ( 2 ) comprising a textile ( 200 ) with a first textile coating ( 211 ) at a first side ( 210 ) and optionally a second textile coating ( 222 ) at a second side ( 220 ) of the textile ( 200 ); (b) a lighting unit ( 300 ) comprising a substrate ( 310 ) with a substrate surface ( 311 ) and a light source ( 330 ) comprised by the substrate surface ( 311 ), wherein the lighting unit ( 300 ) is arranged within the coated textile structure ( 2 ), wherein the lighting unit ( 300 ) is arranged to provide light ( 331 ) through the first textile coating ( 211 ), wherein the substrate surface ( 311 ) further comprises an electrically conductive connector part ( 340 ), and wherein the connector part ( 340 ) is arranged to supply electrical power to the light source ( 330 ) when electrically connected to an electrical power source ( 500 ).

Claims (28)

1 . A textile product having a lighting function, the textile product comprising:

a coated textile structure comprising a textile including a first textile coating at a first side and;

a lighting unit comprising a substrate having a substrate surface and a light source formed by the substrate surface,

wherein the lighting unit is arranged within the coated textile structure to provide light through the first textile coating, and

wherein the substrate surface further comprises an electrically conductive connector part that is arranged to supply electrical power to the light source when electrically connected to an electrical power source.

2 . The textile product according to claim 1 , wherein the coated textile structure further comprises a light guide, arranged to guide at least part of the light of the light source away from the light source.

3 . The textile product according to claim 1 , wherein the lighting unit comprises a plurality of electrically conductive connectors.

4 . The textile product according to claim 1 , wherein the second textile coating further comprises a filler and wherein the first textile coating comprises, relative to the total weight of the first textile coating, less filler than the second textile coating, preferably wherein the first textile coating comprises substantially no filler.

5 . The textile product according to claim 1 , wherein the substrate is attached to the textile with a low-melting temperature solder.

6 . The textile product according to claim 1 , wherein the lighting unit comprises a plurality of light sources.

7 . The textile product according to claim 1 , comprising a plurality of lighting units, wherein preferably two or more lighting units are electrically connected by electrically conductive wires arranged within the coated textile structure.

8 . The textile product according to claim 7 , wherein the textile comprises one or more electrically conductive yarns, and wherein one or more electrically conductive wires comprise the one or more electrically conducting yarns.

9 . The textile product according to claim 7 , wherein the textile product comprises supernumerary electrically conductive wires.

10 . The textile product according to claim 7 , being a product selected from the group of coated fabrics comprising a trailer textile, a (garden) furniture cover, a textile sailing, a tarpaulin, a curtain, an architectural outdoor textile, an architectural indoor textile, and a tent textile.

11 . A textile product having a lighting function, comprising:

a coated textile structure comprising a textile including a first textile coating at a first side; and

a lighting unit comprising a substrate with a substrate surface and a light source comprised by the substrate surface,

wherein the lighting unit is arranged within the coated textile structure to provide light through the first textile coating, and

wherein the substrate surface further comprises an electrically conductive connector part of which at least part is not covered by the first coating, the connector part being arranged to supply electrical power to the light source when electrically connected to an electrical power source.

12 . The textile product according to claim 7 , further comprising an electrical power source, arranged in physical and electrical connection with the connector, and arranged to supply electrical power to the light source.

13 . A method for the production of a textile product according to claim 7 comprising:

applying a lighting unit comprising a substrate with a substrate surface and a light source comprised by the substrate surface; to a textile; and

coating the textile with the lighting unit in a first coating process with a first textile coating to provide a coated textile wherein the lighting unit is arranged to provide light through the first textile coating and optionally coating the textile in a second coating process with a second coating, with reference to the textile, opposite of the first textile coating,

wherein the substrate surface further comprises an electrically conductive connector part that is arranged to supply electrical power to the light source when electrically connected to an electrical power source.

14 . The method according to claim 13 , comprising arranging with a low-melting temperature solder the lighting unit on the textile and coating the textile and lighting unit with the first textile coating, whereby the low-melting temperature solder and the first coating process conditions are selected to melt the low-melting temperature solder during the first coating process.

15 . A method of providing light with a textile product having a lighting function according to claim 12 comprising providing such textile product and an electrical power source, electrically connecting the electrical power source and the electrically conductive connector part, and providing electrical power to the light source.

16 . The textile product according to claim 1 , wherein the textile further includes a second textile coating at a second side of the textile.

17 . The textile product according to claim 11 , wherein the textile further includes a second textile coating at a second side of the textile.
