Abstract

A method for transmitting data between a mobile communication device and a server. The method includes running a mobile application on the mobile communication device. The mobile application is hosted on the mobile communication device through the server as a Software as a Service (SaaS). The method further includes transmitting data associated with the mobile application between the mobile communication device and the server, in which transmission of the data between the mobile communication device and the server is monitored through the server.

Claims (29)

1 . A method for conducting a near field communication transaction using a mobile device, the method comprising:

detecting a near field communication inductive trigger from a near field communication tag coupled to an entity when the mobile device is in close proximity to the near field communication tag, the near field communication tag configured for near field communications, wherein the near field communication inductive trigger is detected by a secure element coupled to the mobile device, the mobile device including a mobile device processor, a mobile device memory, and a mobile device radio transceiver configured for near field communications;

executing a secure element application stored in a secure element memory in a secure element, wherein the secure element application is executed by a secure element processor included in the secure element in response to the near field communication inductive trigger;

wherein information is presented on a mobile device display upon executing the secure element application, wherein the information relates to the entity coupled to the attached near field communication tag.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the near field communication tag is physically attached to the entity.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information includes data associated with using the entity.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the entity comprises a container.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the entity is a product.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the secure element application is an information application.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the secure element application is a personalized application.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the secure element is physically coupled to the mobile device but electrically decoupled from electrical interior components of the mobile device.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the secure element is physically coupled to the mobile device and wirelessly coupled to electrical interior components of the mobile device.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the secure element is included within the body of a memory card configured for placement in a memory card slot in the mobile device.

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the secure element is embedded within the body of the mobile device.

12 . The mobile device of claim 1 , wherein the near field communication tag is a near field communication sticker.

13 . The mobile device of claim 1 , wherein the near field communication tag is another secure element including a chip configured for unidirectional near field communication.

14 . A system for conducting a near field communication transaction using a mobile device, the system comprising:

a secure element transceiver configured to detect a near field communication inductive trigger from a near field communication tag coupled to an entity when the mobile device is in close proximity to the near field communication tag, the near field communication tag configured for near field communications, wherein the near field communication inductive trigger is detected by a secure element coupled to the mobile device, the mobile device including a mobile device processor, a mobile device memory, and a mobile device radio transceiver configured for near field communications;

a secure element processor configured to execute a secure element application stored in a secure element memory in a secure element, wherein the secure element application is executed by a secure element processor included in the secure element in response to the near field communication inductive trigger;

wherein information is presented on a mobile device display upon executing the secure element application, wherein the information relates to the entity coupled to the attached near field communication tag.

15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the near field communication tag is physically attached to the entity.

16 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the information includes data associated with using the entity.

17 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the entity comprises a container.

18 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the entity is a product.

19 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the secure element application is an information application.

20 . A system for conducting a near field communication transaction using a mobile device, the system comprising:

means for detecting a near field communication inductive trigger from a near field communication tag coupled to an entity when the mobile device is in close proximity to the near field communication tag, the near field communication tag configured for near field communications, wherein the near field communication inductive trigger is detected by a secure element coupled to the mobile device, the mobile device including a mobile device processor, a mobile device memory, and a mobile device radio transceiver configured for near field communications;

means for executing a secure element application stored in a secure element memory in a secure element, wherein the secure element application is executed by a secure element processor included in the secure element in response to the near field communication inductive trigger;

wherein information is presented on a mobile device display upon executing the secure element application, wherein the information relates to the entity coupled to the attached near field communication tag.
