Abstract

Disclosed is an organic electroluminescence element comprising an anode, a cathode and a plurality of organic compound layers between the anode and the cathode, provided that one of the organic compound layers is a light emitting layer containing a phosphorescence emitting compound, wherein at least one of the organic compound layers contains a compound represented by Formula (2): wherein, X represents O or S; three of Y 1 to Y 4 each are a group represented by Formula (2A), and one of Y 1 to Y 4 is a hydrogen atom. Formula (2A) is: Ar 1 L 1 n 1* wherein, L 1 represents a divalent linking group derived from an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic heterocycle; n 1 represents an integer of 0 to 3, provided that when n 1 is 2 or 3, a plurality of L 1 s may be the same or different; “*” indicates a linking position with Formula (2).

Claims (22)

3. The organic electroluminescence element of claim 1 ,

wherein the compound represented by Formula (2) is contained in the light emitting layer.

4. The organic electroluminescence element of claim 1 ,

wherein at least one of the organic compound layers is an electron transport layer and the compound represented by Formula (2) is contained in the electron transport layer.

5. The organic electroluminescence element of claim 1 ,

wherein the organic compound layer containing the compound represented by Formula (2) is prepared with a wet coating process.

6. The organic electroluminescence element of claim 1 , wherein the organic electroluminescence element emits a white light.

7. A lighting device comprising the organic electroluminescence element of claim 1 .

8. A display device comprising the organic electroluminescence element of claim 1 .

9. A compound represented by Formula (2),

wherein, X represents O or S; three of Y 1 to Y 4 each are a group represented by Formula (2A), and one of Y 1 to Y 4 is a hydrogen atom:

Ar 1 L 1 n 1*   Formula (2A)

wherein, L 1 represents a divalent linking group derived from an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic heterocycle; n 1 represents an integer of 0 to 3, provided that when n 1 is 2or 3, a plurality of L 1 s may be the same or different; “*” indicates a linking position with Formula (2); and Ar 1 is a group represented by Formula (2A′) or a carbazolyl group which may have a substituent, provided that at least one of the groups represented by Formula (2A) has a substituted carbazolyl group bonded to L 1 through a nitrogen atom:
